Robert Kiyosaki, a best-selling author, successful entrepreneur and investor claims that one’s mind can be the biggest asset, or the biggest liability. The mind is just a tool. It’s all about the way you set the direction of your thoughts to create all of the success in life. Often, it is not about what you do to think properly, but it is about what you do to alter and direct the thoughts that come naturally. That’s because thoughts come and go anyways, but you need to learn how to travel along with the sea of thoughts in order to reach the desired destination. It’s almost as if you are on a sailing boat, trying to reach your destination. You’ll get storms once in a while, some can be more dangerous than others, but eventually, if you keep track on where you are going, you’ll get there. Remember that after every storm there’s sunshine.
Ted Nicolas, great copywriter, entrepreneur and investor states that the quality of your words determines the quality of your life. In other words, the way you talk to yourself, determines the quality of your life. Words and language are just the currencies of the mind. It’s just another way of saying that the mind can create an enormous success, but also can bring huge struggles, failures and obstacles. In fact, the only obstacles that exist today are only inside your mind in a form of limited beliefs and assumed constraints. They just create the entire emotional burden and we make bad decisions to bring those circumstances.
It’s almost as if we are living in a box where fear, doubts and uncertainty are the major driving forces to that reality. It’s like a mind-virus that’s hacking your brain without even realizing that is happening – paralyzing actions, creating procrastination, and blocking rational thinking. This is the biggest enemy to success. It all happens behind the scenes – subconsciously. That’s why the ability to control your own mind can help you achieve the wildest dreams, but the inability to control your mind can bring you, by default, the biggest misery and struggle.
Those who do not control their own minds, and the direction of their thoughts, are losing the ability to control their own life. Therefore, the mind attracts default circumstances of struggle, pain and misery. Nothing in life happens by accident. If you let your mind run the show, you’ll get even more unexpected things happening in your life. Everything is manifested through your mind whether you are directing your thoughts or not. Will you prefer to create the situations and circumstances in life that bring you more happiness, joy and fulfillment? Of course, but only if you use your mind to achieve it. If you let it think instead of you or if you let your mind run 24/7 by creating imaginary realities by default, you’ll pretty much lose any touch with reality and what’s possible to achieve in life. If you distract your mind from this default state of pain, misery and suffering, you’ll gain more control over impulses and things that are sabotaging your success or well-being.
The human brain is one of the biggest wonders in nature, but we are not born with a manual on how to use it. That’s why I believe you’ll find this book not only transformational, but also inspirational, because you are the creator of your own life.
The mind often sabotages us from getting the outcome we want, especially when it comes to success, self-development or self-growth. Likely, there are ways in which you can use the mind to help us identify those burdens. Both – internal and external factors are impacting the mind’s proper functions.
Take some time and answer the following questions. In fact, stop right now and take out a sheet of paper to do this simple exercise. For each question, write down the first 5 things that come to mind.
What do you feel you can’t do anything about?
What do you feel youhave no control over?
There are usually two ways we can go through life. We can either perceive ourselves as victims to situations, circumstances and other people or we can see ourselves as the cause for the change in situations, circumstances and other people. Whatever the case might be, there’s always a cause-effect relationship. The things we have no control over are sometimes perceived as being a victim of what you have no control over. Therefore, we adapt to those things, because if we feel victimized, we feel powerless. In other words, if you perceive yourself as a victim, you are an effect to something or somebody else. That’s because we have no power and control over the situation.
If you feel like you can take control over the situation, your own life, and refuse to be a victim is what you have to go after. Most people feel victimized by politicians, the system, the banks, as a result of not taking responsibility for their own life.
Most people assume that they have no control over their feelings or emotions. They think that feelings are something that just happens to us. If someone happens to control their feelings, we call them insincere.
Frequently, we assume that we are victims of thoughts, because of not having control over them.
Also, most people assume that they feel victimized by relationships and other
