    Mavis J. Pearl shares only her name with a fashionable show bulldog but she is entirely human. She was born in Vienna, Austria in 1974 and moved to Boston and Providence during her twenties. There she was first introduced to a career in education and experiences prompting her to write poetry and her first novel We Need to Talk.
