The Five Levels of FLO - Chris Flores, ATC

Part 1
Chapter 1
Floism: I’m just trying to extend in a world full of flexion.
-This quote embodies so many meanings, but the thought behind it is deeply entrenched in our training system. We do all things other programs avoid. We focus on your weaknesses in order to improve your overall performance.
Introduction
Welcome to the Five Levels of FLO e-book. We hope you are ready to learn and begin a new training journey, both physically and mentally. This book was created as a guide for you to develop your own training system. If you would like to use our system you can, but we don’t intend to be prescriptive. It is not our hope that you simply mimic what we do, but rather that you find strength and inspiration to continue on your own journey. It has taken over 17 years to create this system, which has been in practice since 2010. It is important to know that this is a live document; each year we add and subtract from the system depending upon our experience of what works and what no longer works for us. We also update it depending on new information, research, and equipment that are found in the industry. The core values and principles of this system, however, will never change. As Bruce Lee said, To change with change is a changeless state.
Our system will continuously adapt and change as time goes on, so that we will always be ahead of the curve. Now open up your mind and prepare to absorb the Five Levels of FLO!
Our Training FLO-osophy
Our training philosophy is fairly simple: providing the training you need for the results you want.
We believe that most people say they want to lose weight or play a sport to a certain level but never really understand what they need to do to accomplish these goals. Every client that comes into FLO Fitness gets a biomechanical assessment. This helps us to determine the following: muscular imbalance, areas of tightness, areas of weakness, strengths, core stability, balance, basic mechanics, and more. With this information, we can begin to develop a program in order to correct the majority of a client’s problems. This would be considered the need
part of their training. Next comes the want
part, the crazy, outrageous, and fun part of the training for each client, using new gadgets and doing things that they never imagined they could do. This is the part of the training that keeps people coming back and loving each workout. We call this chocolate covered vegetables.
Most people would eat more vegetables if they were covered in chocolate. Our system covers up the boring aspects of training with fun interactive training that everyone loves. There always has to be a healthy ratio of needs and wants in every workout.
Chapter 2
Floism: There is always a disproof to a current truth.
Someone told me a long time ago, that the truth has an expiration date. With technology changing so quickly and new information always becoming available, it is only a matter of time before the truths of today become a thing of the past. Remember that at one point we all believed the world was flat. For this
