      Jack was a fiction writer but still needed a day job, as he was in the early stages of his career and wasn't selling much. After a long, painful search he had found a new job but it was not going to provide him with anything like security. It would, however, give him some very strange experiences...

      He had been late to work his first day at his new job with the ZY Computer Software Company (a Tuesday, due to a holiday), not at all something he wanted to do! Not having had to make the commute across the city for years in the morning rush, he hadn't anticipated how much worse the traffic had gotten: it was bumper-to-bumper and stopped at 7:30 in the morning on the city's biggest highway!
