My name is Michael, but those who know me affectionately call me "Smoove". I was born in New York City, and mainly grew up in the Bronx. Throughout my school years, all of my English teachers were very impressed with my writing skills and abilities. They would always tell me that I should pursue a career in writing. They said that I had a unique way of touching many feelings and emotions thru my writing. Of course, I tried to pursue everything but that. Unfortunately, it took going thru a bout with cancer, and having all of my friends at that time turn their backs on me during that very difficult period, did I need a outlet to channel the frustration, anger, and disappointment that I felt. For me, it has always been thru what I know best. Writing!!! Like a recording artist in front of a microphone, or a actor in front of the cameras. When I'm writing, that becomes my stage and my platform to create and perform. There's a intense passion and fire that burns inside of me when it comes to relationship, love, making love, and sex. So my future stories will range from intense urban love and romance stories for those who like it tame. And for those who like it steamy, scandalous and spicy hot, you can checkout my urban erotic stories under the series title "A Quietstorm Erotic Tale". While my erotic stories will be very compelling, they will also be sexually explicit. Follow me on Twitter and Facebook, and checkout my blog. Help support this author, and spread the word about my books to your friends and family. If I had to sum up myself in just a few sentences, I would say that I'm a pretty cool person to know. Always calm, cool, collected, peaceful, and love to have fun. Although I'm one who values my privacy, I am a people's person. I love diversity. I love meeting people from all walks of life. I'm a person who knows what he wants, and does not settle for less. If someone cannot accept me for me, than it truly is their lost. And when it comes to relationships, friendships, or business relations, there has to be what I call T. L. R. If there is no TRUST, LOYALTY, and RESPECT... Then we have absolutely nothing to talk about. I'm one of the kindest person you could ever meet. But words to the wise... Never, ever mistake my kindness for weakness, because you will find out that there definitely can be another side. But as long as you are cool with me, then I'm cool with you!!!PEACE, LOVE & RESPECT!!!

    Chapter 1

    The Number One Team

It was a very nice spring day in June, and everyone was looking forward to the transition into summer. Everyone that is, except me. I was just looking forward to finally getting some time off, after my partners and I had been stuck in a campaign work assignment for the last 6 months. Which throughout that time I had no me time, no real rest time, no family time, and no time for a social life. Especially as it related to having a woman in my life. Over the last 6 months there were just too many lonely nights spent by myself for my liking. I was beginning to hunger, and crave for the company and attention of a special woman in my life. But hopefully as the project assignment was coming to an end, so was that lonely part of my life as well.

My name is Michael Jacobs, but some people called me Mike. I'm a 26 years old black man, and for the last 6 years I have worked at an advertising agency called P.C. Flemings Advertising. Which was one of the most successful advertising companies in the city, and one of the most successful companies in the advertising industry. Well actually, I had been with the company for 8 years. My first 2 years with P.C. Flemings were actually years spent as an intern there during my freshman and sophomore years in college. But once I turned 20 years old in my junior year in college, I was hired by the company. So I have actually been with the company for 8 years and a paid employee there for the last 6 years.

It did not take me long to get assigned to one of the several advertising teams that the company has. In order to get on one of the teams, you have to really know your shit. You also have to be very creative, and have a mind that could constantly generate new, fresh, and inventive ideals. Ideals that not only will appeal to the sponsors, affiliates, and the advertising world in general, but will also appeal to the public. Paul Christian Flemings, who is known as P.C. Flemings was the owner of the company. He prided himself on not only being on top and being successful in the advertising industry, but he also prided himself on his workers. If you didn't have that something special in you or about you, it was just a waste of damn time even approaching him for a position. Mr. Flemings had always felt that anyone who worked for him was a representation of him. And that was from his CEO, down to his managers and supervisors, down to his advertising teams, down to his office workers. Hell... He even took pride in his mailroom workers and the building cleaning crew. And if you didn't handle whatever your position was in his company well, your ass was gone. Done, fired, out of there. And there was just nothing to talk about.

The position that I had, being on one of the advertising teams... While it paid very well, it was very competitive. So competitive, that the different teams would step on one another's toes, or hit each other below the belt at times to get specific project assignments. Anything that it took to get an advantage over one another. Teams would do anything to get the campaigns that were loaded with bonuses and extra added incentives. So, on one hand it was a lucrative profession. But on the other hand, it could also be unfair and dirty as well, because some would do almost anything to get the lucrative assignments. Even if it meant causing hurt or harm to someone to get it.

I was very lucky to have had the team that I had. While some of the teams were 4, 5, or 6 members deep, my team consisted of just 3 members. That was because, we knew our shit, and it only took the three of us. Of course, that definitely caused a lot of jealousy and envy towards us. Because not only were we considered the number one team in the company, but we were also the ones who were consistently given the very important and lucrative assignments. We were the ones getting the big bonuses and extra incentives. And, because there was only the three of us, that meant more money in each of our pockets. Of course, that did not sit too well with the other advertising teams. But I could not have given a fuck, because nothing was just being given to us. We worked hard and earned everything that we got. Plain and simple, we were the best that the company had to offer. And there just wasn't a damn thing that any of the other teams could do but look, and be jealous and envious of our sweet, successful asses.

Good morning team! How are we doing today? I let out to my advertising team.

What's going on Mike? Tyler Johnson replied back to me.

Good morning Michael! How are you feeling today? Amy Lee greeted me.

I'm just ready to get back to some kind of normalcy to my life, I said.

"Yes... I'm very proud of the job that we're doing. But it is taking a lot of time out of my personal life. The family is getting a little pissed at me because I'm not spending much time with them these days. I try to explain to them. But no one wants to hear anything. Family is very important in my culture, and that is all there is to it, is how my family sees it," Amy explained.

With me its not so much family, as it is my girlfriend. Oh, she likes the money that I'm bringing in, but she's selfish. Everything has to be about her. All of the attention has to be on, and surrounds her. And because she's not getting the attention right now, she's angry about it, Tyler said. She knew what I did before her ass had even gotten involved with me. She knew that my career and my profession were going to take up a lot of my time. When she saw how well I lived, she only saw dollar signs. But now that I have to invest the time into it, she wants to bitch and moan about it. And to top it off, I think the bitch is cheating on me, while we're busting our asses with this assignment! Tyler let out.

I hear you! I said to my partners. This assignment is taking a toll on my social life. I have none! Sometimes when we finish working those long days, I would love nothing more than to be able to go home to my special lady. You know, have her give me a back rub to loosen me up. Perhaps have a romantic dinner. And even take a bath or shower together, then let what comes naturally happen. But its just hasn't been that the last 6 or so months. It's been coming home to an empty apartment, looking at television, and wishing that I had a woman there with me. It's been lonely! How in the hell can I have the success that I had, but still be so lonely? I let out frustrated.

Although we all were young and very successful in our careers, because of the time that had to be devoted to it, there was a price to pay. There were some things that had to be given up and had to be sacrificed for it.

Amy Lee was a 25 years old Asian woman, as well as a very close friend of mine. While we were all very intelligent, very smart, very articulate, very creative, and just plain and simply, knew our shit, I felt that it was she who was the genius of the trio. We all were creative and unique in our own way. But Amy just seemed to have that something that was just a little extra special. And both Tyler and I were not ashamed or embarrassed to say that she was the genius of our team. In fact, we were both very proud and very happy about it because she represented all of us. I was appointed to be the team leader by the owner of the company P.C. Flemings himself. He just felt that I had what it took to be a leader. There was no jealousy or envy towards anyone on my team. We were all very supportive of one another. There was no trying to play the big shot, or stepping on the toes of one another. No one on the team ever made it out to be an individual thing, where any one of us thought that we were above, or better than the others. We were a team who had each others backs one-hundred percent.

As for Tyler Johnson himself, who I often called Ty, he was a 27 years old white man. He was from a very affluent family. And because of that, many just did not understand why he just did not sit back on his behind and lived off the wealth of his parents, and allow them to take care of him financially. Because he was in a situation where he did not have to work if he didn't want to. But that was just not who Tyler was. Although his parents and his family may have been, he wasn't your typical stuffy, turn my nose up towards others who didn't come from a wealthy family like I did type of person. It wasn't that he was a rebel against his family and how they were. Tyler wanted to be independent and earn his own. He didn't want to live off the wealth of his parents, but create his own. Both Amy and I had a lot of respect for him for taking that view and stance. Although he himself had to listen to some of his family and friends tell him how stupid he was for not doing that. But in the end, it was going to be he who had the last laugh, because Ty, Amy, and I were doing our thing, and doing it very well. And we were being financially successful at it along the way.

I don't think you have anything to worry about Tyler. Because when we blow this thing up big, it's going to be her ass who will be missing out, Amy said.

Totally agree! I've been getting some slack on my side as well from some of those who just don't believe in our dream, or what we're doing. But we will see who has the last laugh. Their asses will be running back to become a part of our lives, I said.

"Yeah... I hear you Amy. What just eats away at me about her is that, I give that woman everything that she wants. I treat her better than she has ever been treated in her life. But it just never seems to be enough for her. She's always telling me... If I was with this person or that person, they would have put her up on a pedestal! Tyler let out very frustrated it seemed.

Listen Ty, it's her who needs you! You don't need someone, who all they're looking for is a free ride, I insisted to him.

That's right! If all she's about is stressing you out... I'd say it's about time, if not passed the time to kick her ass to the curb. You don't owe her anything. And apparently, she doesn't seem to have a whole lot to offer you anyway, other than being a pain in your ass. If she thinks that she's going to find someone else who is going to treat her as good and as well as you have, well then let her ass go! Amy said to Tyler.

Yeah... I really love her, but I'm just getting sick and tired of her bullshit! Something just has to give! he replied.

And Amy, I understand that family is very important to your family. I too come from a family where family is important as well. But you have to get them to see that your career and your dream is also important too. You have to try and make them understand that, what we're doing now, yes, it's taking up a lot of our time now. But in the end, it's all going to payoff big time! It's already doing that. Try to explain to them that it's because of what we're doing right now that we can ride a nice car, wear nice clothes, and live in a nice apartment or house. You just have to find a way to make them understand that, just as family is important to them, as well as to you, so is your career, I tried to advise the female member of our advertisement team.

Working as close together as we did, Amy, Tyler, and I weren't only co-workers and a part of the same advertising team, but we all were also good friends. Whenever we found the time, we hung out together. And again, working as close together as we did, we genuinely cared about one another. Although I did have an older sister of my own, Amy herself was also like a little sister to Tyler and I, and we both were like her big, older brothers. We looked out for her, and protected her. So we weren't only a team at work, but we were like family as well, in and outside of the workplace. If anyone fucked with one of us, they had to deal with all of us. Not that we ever looked for it, but there were a few altercations that we had gotten into with a couple of the other advertising teams in the company in the past 6 years or so. But of course, most of it was out of envy and jealousy of us on their part.

The morning, as well as lunchtime had come and gone, and my team and I were now on our way back to the office. We were pretty much putting the finishing touches on a big assignment that we were working on. The very same assignment that we and the other advertising teams were in heavy competition for. But being the number one team in the company, we were able to nail it down. While we didn't brag about it, or tried to rub it in the faces of our competition... Because of some of the dirty, hitting below the belt tactics that they pulled out in trying to get the project, we did held our heads up high, and kind of gave the competition a wink in passing.

I don't know Tyler... That waitress really seemed to be interested in you. Maybe you should have given her your number, Amy said to him.

Amy, that would have been a complete waste of time. Besides, she already slipped me hers, Tyler grinned.

Uh oh, now check him out. Tyler the lover! I teased him. She really did seem like a very nice young lady, I said.

Yes, she did. Her name is Diane Paterson. I think that I might just give her a call, he smiled.

As Amy and I continued to tease Tyler about the waitress, we bumped into our most fierce competition advertising team. We were considered the number one team in the advertising company, and they were considered the number two team. Basically, the only thing that stopped them from becoming the number one team the last 6 or so years was us. No matter how hard they tried, they just could not seem to overcome us. So we had become bitter rivals over the last 4 to 5 years. But it was more on their side than it was our. We were very confident and didn't see them as a threat to us.

In the company, all of the advertising teams had names to them. Some were self given, and some were given names by a supervisor or a manager. While our biggest competition named them selves The Doers, my team was called The All-Stars. But it wasn't a name that we gave ourselves. It was a name that was given to us by the owner of the company himself, Mr. P.C. Flemings. That's because, out of the gate, whenever we were given an assignment, we attacked it. We jumped all over it, and left our calling card on it. Mr. Flemings has been so proud of us from day one that he just started calling us his All-Star team. And from that, we became known as The All-Stars. Of course, everyone has come at us hard ever since, trying to prove to P.C. Flemings that they're the true All-Stars. But no one has been able steal our thunder and glory from us yet. While some teams in the company gave us our due and respect as just being the best team that the company has to offer, others felt that we were just too cocky and conceited. Which wasn't the case at all. We were just very confident and believed in ourselves. There's a good reason why we only needed three members, instead of 4, 5, or 6. And the company itself seemed to have recognized why. Because we were just that good at what we did.

Well, well, well. The All-Star! Ladies and gentlemen... Can you believe we're grace with having The All-Star in our presence? the leader of The Doers, Anthony Wilson sarcastically let out.

Well, well, well All-Stars... Can you believe The Don'ts... I mean The Doers have graced us with their presence? I mocked their name to my team.

They took exception to what I had said, and we all got into a pushing and shoving
