About this ebook
A group of people who are devoted to this noble calling and who aim to foil all external threats to their organization have to maintain strict organizational norms and values, which Professor A K M Nazir Ahmad highlights in this book. Since the aims and objectives and the nature of Islamic da‘wah organizations all over the world are largely the same, his ideas will be useful to those who take calling people to Allah’s way seriously, no matter where they are geographically located. And this is what inspired me to translate this important Bangla work into English for the benefit of the global readership.

The perennial conflict between truth and falsehood has always been in human history. Allah has ordered the believers to fight against all sorts of falsehoods and injustices and to advance the primordial principles of truth and justice by establishing His rule on earth. Undertaking this enormous task of promoting what is good and preventing what is evil requires concerted and united efforts on the part of the believers.
Humans are social beings. While interacting with others in society, they have to abide by certain norms and rules for the sake of social stability and cohesion, even though when they are alone they do not necessarily have to follow many of those rules. When people unite in a group to achieve a shared goal, the need for such norms and values becomes even more important. In addition, the affiliates of an Islamic organization have to maintain Islamic manners on top of customary organizational etiquettes.
Persecution by evil forces has been a common experience of the believers who try to establish the just rule of Allah on earth. In extreme cases, they even lose the explicit support of their nearest ones and of people in society at large, who do not want to be the target of the wrath of the repressive power structures in times of trials and tribulations. But Allah has a greater consolation for the believers engaged in advancing
His causes:
(O Muhammad!) And if they [hostile forces] intend to deceive you, be assured that definitely Allah is sufficient for you; He it is Who strengthens you with His help and with the believers. And He has cemented the hearts of the believers; had you spent all that is in earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah has united them; surely He is Mighty, Wise. O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for those from the believers who follow you.
(al-Qur’an, 8:62-64)
So, according to the Qur’anic verses mentioned above, people of Islamic da‘wah organizations have two sources of support and help. Primarily, it is Allah Himself; and then the believers, who help one another. As long as these two sources of help are available, adherents of the Islamic movement can hopefully surmount all kinds of opposition that they may encounter from the hostile forces.
Importantly, they have to prove themselves competent enough to receive divine intervention and the expected cooperation from their fellow Muslims engaged in da‘wah work. Maintaining an Islamic way of life, worshipping Allah most sincerely and respecting His boundaries will ensure the pleasure of Allah and His continuous help. Similarly, they have to abide by a set of important rules and Islamic social manners in their organizational life, which will create a healthy environment and prevent ill-feelings from creeping among themselves.
Muslims who unite under the banner of an organization are subject to common human frailties and temptations. In order for them to check misunderstandings and unhealthy relationships, Allah and His Prophet have given them certain codes of conduct. In this book, Professor Nazir Ahmad tries to cover many of those directives concerning an organized life, which, I believe, will greatly benefit members of Islamic da‘wah organizations. The wider society in general can also benefit from this book.

Importance of Islamic Da‘wah Organization
Generally, an organization or a group signifies a forum where people are brought together and united for a particular goal. And technically it means leading a united life. However, an Islamic da‘wah organization is one that is devoted to the establishment of Islamic rule on earth. It is obligatory on all Muslims to dedicate themselves to the struggle of establishing Islam by way of becoming involved in an Islamic da‘wah organization. It is not possible to realize the goal of
