Throughout my life I have explored all kinds of creative expression such as writing, painting and photographing.I have always felt like a visitor, belonging somewhere else, seeing the world in my own unique way, and needing to express that through art.I love poetry and short stories because they allow me to paint pictures with words, short, to the point and full of emotions.I have a special affinity for children's books because I experienced my own childhood as a heavenly, magical time, and I love bringing magic, wonder and joy to children.I am in awe of their world.

And then it was autumn. As if by magic summer had turned into a prelude to winter. As always, the library’s chestnut trees were the first to let the green color ooze out of their leaves, and be ablaze every morning when she rode past them.
She loved it.
Every year it made her happy all the way down into the pit of her stomach to ride her bike past here. Now it is happening again she thought every time, and it never got dull, even if it was the same over and over again.
Maybe it was the safety of the well known, or the joy of what you know is coming, or maybe the joy of rediscovering the beauty of autumn every time it appeared.
The wind blew through the treetops, and swept the first dead leaves to the ground. It finally had a touch of crisp winter-is-coming-cold, and the clouds seemed more rugged and alive, as they drew fantastic panorama motifs from horizon to horizon. They let the sun send intense, warm beams of light down on the world, and soon after let pouring rain soak everything in their path.
She loved it.
Loved that everything was drawing to a close. That the clouds decided whether she should stay indoors, and cuddle up on the sofa, or run down the street to do an errand, and still be cold, and wet when she arrived.
She loved it.
It was a sweet melancholy that spread with the more, and more golden sun rays that painted gables, and rooftops a surreal yellow in the quiet September morning.
It all resonated with her inner melody. That too was a bit melancholy and quiet, slightly drawing to a close. So here she found her balance inside and out.
She loved it.
The world was a painting in warm, yellow nuances that became deeper, and warmer the colder it got, until winter took over, and everything would turn blue.
She gazed at it, sucked in the autumn mood in deep breaths. Allowed herself to close her eyes for just a moment, while riding her bike, wind blowing in her hair. She took it in with all of her senses.
She loved it.
I am autumn, she thought. It sings with all of my being. Shakes me, so I can feel life. Fills me up, so I’m about to burst.
Hums through every part of me.
Makes everything fresh and golden.
Crisp and soft.
Alive and dying.
Deep and heartfelt.
Finite and eternal.
I am autumn, and I love it!
