- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is NOT related to the Aesop’s Fable of the same name although it is listed as a retelling of the traditional fable. An enjoyable picture book story, nevertheless. It has rich, vibrant colors in the illustrations.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a good book about insects assissting others and having a wonderful time doing it. I think that the pictures in this book allow the book to be that much more special.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A palyful, imaginative take on the Aesop fable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked this book for three reasons. I simply loved the illustrations and the pictures used in this book. The illustrations definitely make the book stand out and makes the children want to read it. In addition the pictures are very colorful and you can understand what the story is about without even reading the words. Secondly the plot of this book is really well done. I like how the author took a traditional story and turns it into a fun story for the children to read. I like how the book has a different ending and the grasshopper and the ant work together and have a good time singing and dancing. The main idea of this book is to learn about friendship and how a good friend like the Grasshopper is there to cheer the day of the ant with some music. Definitely a different happy ending to a traditional story.
