- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was about the trade route of the Silk Road. A young girl is determined to get a pebble to the west. The young girl's father gets help from many others, some he does not ever meet, to get the pebble to the west. It is interesting because throughout the book the seasons are displayed. The author could have done this to show readers how long it took the pebble to finally get to the west. Displayed under the English words of the season is another word. I would check with students to see what the words mean. The end of the book has many useful resources for the readers.
