It's always busy for George, Mike, and the rest of the crew at The Village Garage! Each season brings on different tasks around the town, from filling potholes in the hot summer months to readying the snow shovels and salt in preperation for hte first big snow storm of the year. G. Brian Karas makes excellant use of descriptive words to talk about each task ("Chink chink chink, the chains rattle, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkrrrrrrrrr, plows scrape") and uses fun, cartoon-like characters throughout the book. The book would certainly be of great appeal to young boys with an interest in anything mechanical.
