    Cow has lost her moo—can she find it again?

    Having lost her moo, Cow is stuck clucking. The only thing to do is go out and find that moo! Join Cow and her friends as they conduct their vocal barnyard search. Cow tramps through a wheat field and on into the starry night until she is too tired to look any farther. But in the end, Cow and her moo are reunited, and all is well.

    The simple repetition will have children chanting right along with Cow—"It is not you who has my moo!"

      This is a modern fantasy book. This book is about a cow who wakes up one morning and has lost his moo. He just clucks! He then ventures all around the farm and ask different animals if they have his moo, like a dog, fish, and owl. At the end of the day, he still has not found his moo so as he is heading back to the barn he sees the Hen who he stops and clucks out. To his surprise, it is the hen who has his Moo! They trade voices and both are happy again.

      This book is about a cow who is trying to find her voice. Children could use this to distinguish the sound of different animals.

      Cow wakes up one day to find her 'moo' gone and all she can say is 'cluck cluck'. Off Cow goes to find her 'moo' but though she spends all day trying to find her 'moo' nobody has it. Cow goes back to the barn where Hen says 'moo' and so Hen and Cow found their 'moo' and 'cluck'. This is a good story because it can help children associate at sound with an animal.

      A story about a cow who lost his moo. He asks all of the animals if they found it, each animal answers with his own animal sound until he gets to chick, who answers with a moo. They exchange noises and everybody is happy. Great illustrations, good book for learning animal sounds.

      This is a great book for younger children to learn their animal sounds. The cow has lost her moo and searches all around the farm until she finds the hen who has her moo- and they exchange back sounds so everything is normal on the farm again.

      A book about a cow who suddenly lost her moo! Now all she does is cluck, and she is out on a mission to find out who took her moo. A delightful tale perfect for young children, the book teaches them many animal sounds. I have read this to preschoolers and they love it.

      A cow wakes up only to find that his moo has disappeared, and he can only cluck. So, he sets out in search of his moo, but he fails to find who took his moo. Heading back to the barn, the cow asks hen if she took his moo and she did! Now, the cow can moo once again. This is a repitious book allowing for children to participate.

      Summery:This book was very cute. The cow in this story has lost her "moo". She looks all over the farm for it, but she cannot find it. She asks each of the other animals if they have seen her moo, and no one has. She passes chicken on the way back to the barn, and the hen moos at her. My View:I personally love any story that has to do with farms or farm animals! I live on a farm so I love to read these types of stories to my own children. Extensions:I would use this in a lesson about friendship. I would have my class tell me ways that they could be a good friend. I would also use this in a a lesson about fantasy. Can the cow really lose her "moo"

      This book is about a cow that woke up one morning and discovered she had lost her moo. Instead of having a moo she had a cluck! The cow spent the rest of the day searching the farm for her moo. She went from animal to animal until she finally reached the hen who had her moo. Once they had found each other the cow got her moo back and the hen got her cluck back.I thought this book was cute but somewhat boring. I expected it to have more of a twist and story to why the cow clucked. There wasn't much of a surprise to it. I also was not a huge fan of the illustrations.Classroom Extension #1: Assign one student to be the cow and the other stuednts to be other animals. Have the student who is the cow go around the class to the other animals until they are able to find their "moo".Classroom Extension #2: Much like the first extension, you could assign the students with different animal sounds. This time though, assign two student the same sounds. The students will have to go around the classroom making their animal sound until the find their match.

      Cow has lost her moo and spends the day trying to find out who has it. The character development and setting is limited to the illustrations which are well done and fun. The plot is repetitive as Cow see if each animal that she comes across has have her moo. Overall this would be a great book for a beginning reader because of the repetitive and simple words as well as the pictures that add cues.

      The Cow who Clucked is about a cow’s adventure to fin her moo. One morning cow wakes up to realize that she is clucking instead of mooing. Cow travels around the farm talking to the other animals such as pig, bee, and mouse in search of her moo. Cow finally finds her moo whenever she see hen. Hen gets her cluck back and cow gets her moo. This book seemed a little repetitive to me after cow met each animal she would say “cluck, cluck” the animal would reply then cow says “it is not you who has my moo”. I somewhat got bored with this. I know younger students would not though (reader response). I do think that the children would find satisfaction in helping cow find her moo. I feel that children will really enjoy the interactive part of this book. I could use this book while working with animals and their sounds. I could also use this book to help show children that it is always good to be nice to friends and family because you never know what might be wrong. I could use this book to help with student interactions within a group. As we know student interaction is always great.

      This book is about a cow looking for her "moo". She goes to different animals who offer their various sounds. Of course she finds her moo at the end. My favorite thing about this book is the illustrations. The author tells in the front how the illustrations were made. She made paper and added paint to create these amazing pictures. The plot was okay and very predictable, but it is a childrens book. I would use this book to discuss art. You could actually make paper in class for hands on experience. You could also have a discussion about the value of recycling and how beauty can come from something used.
