About this ebook

This book depicts the wonder of the world of Spiders in all its glory. Children are given a well-rounded understanding of these fascinating creatures: their anatomy, feeding habits and behavior. The following spiders are featured: * The mysterious Black Widow * The dangerous Brazilian Wandering Spider * The shy Brown Recluse Spider * The deceptive Crab Spider * The fun-loving Jumping Spider * The beefy Tarantula The pictures look great even in black and white and are excellent on the full color kindle. The description in the large text beneath is simple enough for early readers or for a parent to guide a child through. There are also picture captions that provide more information to talk about with your child. Alternatively, a child of any age (even the child in you) can just look at the images and appreciate its beauty. Enjoy!

I would've enjoyed better quality horse photos and perhaps a better overall layout of the e-book. It would've been nice if it was geared toward a younger audience as well.Other than that, there were some interesting horse facts.***I received a free copy of this book, and in exchange, I have provided an honest review.***

If your child has an interest in horses, this is a pretty good starter book. I would have liked to have seen more pictures, but overall it's a good book with accurate information. It does a good job at telling about different breeds of horses. I received this book from Library Thing in exchange for an honest review.

Having ridden horses for the better part of my life, I knew a few of these fun facts but it was very interesting learning more about the different types of horses, including the various temperaments, uses, size, etc. Also, the photos of the horses were beautiful!

Spiders:101 Fun Facts & Amazing Pictures ( Featuring The World's Top 6 Spiders) - Janet Evans

Introduction

Many people seem to think that spiders are insects. But the truth is, they are not; they belong to the arachnid family. Mites, ticks and scorpions are close relatives of spiders.

Figure 1: Just another spider hard at work, producing silk and spinning its web.

1. Insects only have 6 legs while spiders have eight.

2. Spiders neither have wings nor antennae but insects do.

3. Spiders cannot chew unlike insects.

4. Like other members of the arachnid family, a spider's body is made of only two segments while insects have three main parts.

5. The two segments of a spider's body include the Cephalothorax and the abdomen. The first segment includes the brain, the eyes, mouth fangs, glands and stomach.

6. Most spiders have eight eyes
