About this ebook
Growing more popular with each new novel (over 100,000 copies in combined sales), author Jerry Eicher continues the Hannah series with this intriguing glimpse into a young Amish couple’s early marriage.
Hannah Byler is now married. She and Jake live in a small Amish community near Montana’s Cabinet Mountains, and the rough log cabin is far from everything Hannah holds dear. Anxious about her new role as wife and soon-to-be mother, Hannah understands she must learn to control her anxious heart if her marriage is to survive.
Just as the young couple settles into their new routine, Jake loses his timber job and answers the call to ministry. With winter pressing in and money scarce, Jake and Hannah discover hardships can either drive them apart or draw them closer. Determined to find hope despite fearful conditions, they struggle to survive in this harsh land and bear their responsibilities with grace.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I believe in sticking to my honest review policy and will do no less than that with this Amish novel. Jerry Eicher is a fabulously talented author. He can take an Amish story and create a powerful plot that makes his readers feel closer to the Amish, no matter where they live. That is what made me enjoy his novels. However, this book wasn't up to par with his usual work. A Dream for Hannah is book 1 in his Hannah's Heart series. As I said above, I believe in giving my honest opinion, so with that being said, I did like this story, however, I thought the story line to be a bit bland compared to his Adams County Trilogy. It wasn't as upbeat as his Amish romances have been in the past. But, again, that is just my opinion. Hannah is a young Amish woman who dreams of love and happily ever afters, until heartache causes her dreams to die. She was created with real to life personality and I will say that my heart did go out to her. Especially when she meets Jake, a young Amish man who's dreams died much the same as Hannah's. His personality was also real to life and blended well with Hannah's. These tender characters blended well with each other, but not with the storyline. With all this being said, this was an okay novel for me. I do encourage everyone to a tleast give this a try, as everyone has opinions and you may find that you like this novel better than I did. I can not give it 5 stars though. When you are used to giving 5 star reviews for books that rock, it's hard to write a review when you can only give it 3 stars, especially since Mr. Eicher is seasoned with his other works. I will read book 2 in this series, A Hope for Hannah, in hopes that it will be a bit better!
