About this ebook

In a world where supernatural creatures openly exist, who can blame them for coalescing in one of the most fascinating and erotic places on earth? Welcome to New Orleans.

A conflicted incubus...

Laurant knows sex. As an incubus, he needs it to live. What he doesn’t need or understand are all those sticky and obnoxious ooey gooey emotions that humans intertwine with the physical act of enjoyment. So he’s less than pleased with his firsthand introduction to those feelings in reference to his last meal...they’re actually driving him insane. Crazy enough that he’ll face off against the baddest of his kind to keep his delectable morsel safe and sound and hopefully on his menu.

Not just your average blue-plate special...

Sure, in a moment of duress, Gun fed Laurant. The demon lay on the floor, bleeding from a wound meant for him—what else could he do but enjoy the ride the sex demon needed to heal. Unfortunately, the dangerous conclusion and surprising aftermath of their coupling only cements Gun’s need to know who he is and where he comes from...and to keep his distance from the enticing and deadly incubus.

So it really sucks when the incubus may be the only one that can keep him alive.

I annoy, love, respect, scare, seduce, hurt, anger, infatuate, frustrate, flatter, envy, amuse and tolerate everyone. I just do it better in writing thanks to a little thing called...edits. Okay no, seriously...I'm a simple minded person who enjoys the escape from real life through a book. I write with the group Story Orgy and hope to continue doing so for a long time. I also am privileged to be with the Pulp Friction writers creating intermingling books in a world all our own. And just like every other red blooded human – I love hearing from people. So feel free to drop me a line – whether it's a comment on my blog, an email, a tweet or you track me down on FaceBook or Google + ... it's easy to catch someone who wants to be caught.

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, locations, incidents and positions are completely and absolutely a part of the author's skewed imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons—or incubus—living or deceased, businesses, events or locales are entirely coincidental and maybe a little bit freaky, perhaps sexy if you really are an incubus.

Does the gamble happen when he takes the bait…or doesn’t?

    Chapter One

    Two months ago

A blinding flash of lights, an earth-shattering boom…something struck Laurant in the center of his chest, and he flew across the room, twisting his body over and again until his head cracked on the wall and he fell limp to the floor.

Well, that’s never happened before. Laurant chuckled, rubbing the wound on his chest. It was almost regrettable that the pain diminished so quickly, the only reminder he had of the most spectacular experience in his life. What the fuck? He looked down at himself. Laurant healed better than the average supe, but when he took Gun’s life something attacked him, tore skin and heaved him across the room with such amazing strength to warrant a fatal head wound if he had been human—but there was no mark on his chest, the skin as flawless and unmarked as before he fucked Gun. No sign of any trauma, no lacerations, punctures or at the very least discolored bruises.

Damn, I knew this one was different b—

    You tried to kill me!

Laurant’s head flew up, hitting the wall yet again with the speed of the movement. Fuck, he mumbled as he immediately rubbed the slight throb with his hand. He stared at Gun’s incensed face, his nostrils flaring with the speed of the air inflating his lungs, his chest heaving in tandem with them, and his heart beating at the same tempo. He appeared very much alive.

Huh… Laurant exclaimed softly, not sure what to think of this turn of events. Well, okay, so now he could have a repeat of the
