    Foreword

Dachshunds were originally bred in Germany. I thought it would be fun to shift gears a bit and bring a Dachshund into the United States from the homeland. It was not necessary to do so as Dachshunds are plentiful here in the states. Nevertheless, it made for an interesting story and I am sure you will find it to be a good read.

I had never even heard of English Cream Dapple Dachshunds until I went to pick up two puppies for fostering. Saying they are gorgeous is an understatement.

I would like to thank my team for their assistance in preparing the book for publishing: Al Rosario, Illustrator; Jan Lawrence, editor; Drew Simenson, assistant editor, Lucinda Campbell, formatting and Heather Piedmont, marketing.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit New Mexico Dachshund Rescue and Dachshund rescue in New Mexico.
