About this ebook

Libby Morgan never wanted to return to Lancaster County. She'd made her own life in the city as a news photographer, leaving the slow pace of Amish country behind. She'd left love behind too, when she fled the old–fashioned ways of Adam Byler. But when a friend in trouble beckons, Libby knows she has no choice. What she doesn't know is that something sinister awaits her…

For Adam Byler, the traditional ways convey safety and order. As police chief of Springville, the former marine strives to keep the peace between the Amish and their modern 'Englischer' neighbours– and he won't allow Libby's beauty to distract him from his duties. But when an innocent woman is attacked, they'll confront a danger more threatening than their growing passion.

4 STARS Danger In Plain Sight is good story. Has a mystery, crime, romance,Amish & English and two friends from different beliefs liking and respecting of each other. No sex scenes. Libby came home for her brother's wedding. She has not told her mom that she quit her job in San francisco. She is not sure what she will do now. Libby is busy taking the photos of her brothers reception when she sees Adam get a phone call. Adam tells her that Esther her best friend was in a hit and run accident and its bad. Adam agrees to take Libby with him to the hospital but he has to go to the scene first. A truck had ran into the horse and buggy. The deputy that got to the scene first shot the horse who was hurt bad. Another Amish had come upon the scene and he had a cell phone and call for the amblence. Libby feels guilty that she had not made time to see Ester yet. Even though she knew that Ester was waiting to talk a problem over with her. But Libby only just made it to the rehersal. Libby only knows that Ester was really worried about something and could use Libby's help to deal with the English. When Adam and Libby get to the hospital Ester is already in surgery. It does not look good for Ester. Libby stays with Rebecca in the hospital room and helps her deal with the English and speak it. A lot of people don't know how to react to the Amish or understand their dutch. Libby is afraid for Ester safty after someone was scared off in her room. Libby when she found out about that she called Adam and told him what Rebecca saw. The Amish don't go to the police for help. After someone breaks into Libby's family home and crashes her computer, her camera is also missing, they know thier is a problem but what it is they will have to figure it out. Thier is a lot of suspense to it. I had no idea of the guilty party until they are caught. Also enjoyed learning a little about the Amish ways. Now I want to go and read Libby's brothers stories. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley. 05/29/2012 PUB HarlequinHQN

Good book with quality female leads. The character was strong and she made it clear that family was as important as truth and love.

Libby Morgan has returned to Springville without a job and no immediate plans except to see her best friend Esther, an Amish girl. But before she can see her, Esther is involved in a buggy accident and hurt badly. Libby is convinced that this was no accident and that Esther's life is still in danger. With the help of sheriff Adam Byler (Libby's girlhood crush) Libby is determined to keep Esther safe by finding the person who attacked her.I really like this series. I love a good Amish mystery. This one had a bit more mystery and less romance than the others in the series. I really like the Morgan family and the other folks of Springville both Amish and English.
