      One of the hottest non-erotica romances I've read in a while. Cheyenne McCray turns up the heat with her latest mainstream novel "Zack: Armed and Dangerous". This is strictly romance and reads like a longer Harlequin Blaze imprint. The story is a sexy contemporary western with sex, romance, and action.Skylar has never gotten over Zack. The sexy cowboy stole her breath and her heart and then walked away without looking back. After ten years, you would think she could stop thinking about him...but no. Of course, she has a few other important issues she should be dwelling on like running her ranch and trying to stop someone from rustling her cattle and stealing her prize breeder bull. Then her world stops when Zack returns...looking for the one he left behind.Zack never stopped loving Sky even though he knew he wasn't good enough for her. Leaving her was the hardest thing he'd ever done. When he took the law enforcement job back in his home town, he tried to convince himself it wasn't just to see Skylar. But as soon as he sets eyes on her again, he realizes he can't live without her. He's also worried because her ranch seems to be the hardest hit by the rustlers and that means she's in danger. When he discovers just how badly he hurt her by leaving, he vows to do whatever it takes to earn her love again.Cheyenne McCray writes such wonderful heroes. Alpha men who set their eyes on the prize and don't stop til they've won it. And when they set those gorgeous eyes on their 'woman'...gives me the good shivers! And her sex scenes are smoking hot even when they don't cross the line into erotica. "Zack: Armed and Dangerous" will raise your heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature. Don't miss it.

      No real depth to the story or the characters. Every other page describes the sexual tension between Zach Hunter and Sky MacKenna, so what should have been hot scenes became boring after the first time. The author promises that I'll never look at cheesecake the same again, but I was disappointed instead.

      This steamy story was pretty good but it moved kind of slow in the beginning with lots of ruminating about their previous relationship. The ending was rather exciting. Zack broke Sky's heart 10 years ago and tries to get her back while they search for cow thieves.

Suddenly he comes back into her life, sexier, bigger and badder than ever.Zack Hunter works for Immigration and Customs Enforcement as an agent. What he never expected was to be lead back to his small hometown by that job. He also never expected to see Sky again. The stupidest thing he ever did was leaving her behind. This time he is determined to keep her. Zack makes his intention very clear when he sets eyes on Sky again. Zack is investigating a case that Sky ends up entangled in which makes him take the threat personally. Their passion burns hotter than even as the danger mounts. This is a great romantic suspense that provides plenty of suspects and will keep the reader guessing just who is behind what is going on. It is easy to get sucked into the story as the plot is well written and moves along at a fast pace. While the story starts out in the present the history between Sky and Zack are explained in such a way that the story keeps flowing very smoothly and the reader never gets lost in what is happening. The suspense doesn’t stop until the very end of the story and readers will hate that the story is done. With this story it is a good idea to keep a glass of ice cold water nearby.
