About this ebook

The Kingdom of Heaven and 4th Dimensional Consciousness is the third book in the Planes of Heaven series, which will eventually comprise nine separate titles. It focuses on the 3rd and 4th Planes of Heaven. In the first two books in the Planes series, we saw that life and death are one coexistent reality, that death is not extinction, but that there is a hereafter where we live on in the manifold planes of heaven. It is a sign of wisdom to give thought to the next life and to seek mastery in both worlds.

The Kingdom of Heaven and 4th Dimensional Consciousness describes 3rd and 4th Plane of Heaven's dwellers, homes, temples and halls of learning. It answers questions about life after death in chapters on prayer, healing, meditation, dreams, visions, angels, and more. As in previous titles in the Planes series, maps of Heaven are provided, showing more than 100 locations on the Other Side.

Many ways, many masters, and many degrees of scientific understanding have been used to discover how to reach the other world. The Bible speaks about the Planes. The science of nighttime soul travel is mentioned by all great religions as far back as ten thousand years. Indians, Tibetans, Persians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Greek esotericists, early Christians and others accepted as reality the communication between our two worlds, recognizing that when human consciousness is focused on the inner planes in sleep, the liberated soul is free to visit the invisible world. Contact between Earth and Heaven is as old as creation. It is the way to God for all mankind.

When this life is over, we step into that next world, into a new condition with new surroundings. There is a plan of life for our life here, just as there is a plan of ongoing life there. Work in the temples and halls of learning on the other side gives us the development we need to take the next step. Life is eternal. This is the education for the next life.

Now is the time to become acquainted with that invisible land all of us will some day inhabit, and to strengthen ties with the life beyond to which we are eternally linked, to know its reality, its perfection, its all inclusiveness, where all is order, where healing abounds and where love dwells.

    INTRODUCTION

This is the third book in the Planes of Heaven series, which should eventually comprise nine separate titles. Readers of the Planes books will fall into three different categories: (1) those who have been familiar for some time with the ideas expressed in these books; (2) those who have only recently become familiar with them through reading one or both of the two previous Planes books; and (3) readers who are hearing about these ideas for the first time and need some background information to begin with. To orient those in the latter category and to refresh the minds of those in the middle and even perhaps in the first group, some introductory repetition is a good idea. To wit:

As we noted before, the literary genre of life after death, Heaven and the Afterlife is an extremely popular one today, with a very large number of interested readers who would like to know what awaits us when the transition of death occurs. Most books on the subject of the other side of life are based either on near death experiences (NDE), mediums’ channeling guides and discarnates from the Other Side, automatic writing, past life regressions, brief, cryptic and sometimes difficult to understand Biblical passages, or information conveyed by subjects under hypnosis.

The books in the Planes of Heaven series fall into a unique new category, deriving from my own and others’ personal experiences in a group of sixty or more seekers of similar mind who, over a period of decades, met weekly, Friday evenings in Pasadena, California, under the guidance of mentor, master teacher and Dead Sea Scrolls translator Mary Dies Weddell, whose extensive knowledge of ancient languages (Sanskrit, Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, Greek, hieroglyphics), esoteric truth and inspired teachings influenced thousands in America and abroad. While a number of elements mentioned in other titles on Heaven and the Afterlife are corroborated, our group with Mary ventured into areas unexplored in any other published work.

The first two books in the Planes of Heaven series examined life between two worlds, showing how physical existence on Earth and the invisible realms beyond us are intricately interconnected, and how visiting the other side at night in our sleep prepares us for the afterlife and enriches our present lives in the here and now. We saw that life and death are one coexistent reality, that death is not extinction, but that there is a hereafter where we live on in the manifold planes of heaven: as Jesus said, For in my Father’s house are many mansions.

Every plane of the etheric world of heaven has many temples and halls of learning where, guided by higher teachers as our physical bodies sleep, we examine and evaluate our lives. As seekers of truth, we learn many things that enable us to grow in wisdom and understanding. This allows us to strengthen ties to that world to which we are eternally linked, as well as to reunite with loved ones who have preceded us to the afterlife. Eventually, when in death we ourselves will cross over to the other side of life to inhabit that other dimension of reality, our consciousness will go with us to the extent that we have developed it on Earth.

Previously in the Planes series, included were two unique maps/charts of heaven, citing over one hundred heavenly points of interest on the Subplane and the 1st and 2nd Planes of Heaven. For those who may have missed them, they are reproduced in this third volume as well. This newest book, The Kingdom of Heaven and 4th Dimensional Consciousness, focuses on the 3rd and 4th Planes of Heaven. It features a third map of heaven’s locations, and continues themes begun in the first two volumes. These maps were prepared for us by Mary and her senior teacher, Miriam B. Willis.

The underlying theme of all Mary Weddell's work is self knowledge leading to self mastery. Through two peerless original courses, Creative Color Analysis and the Planes of Heaven, Mary enabled us, her students, to see more deeply into ourselves and to understand the awe inspiring structure and purpose of creation. We are all part of the divine plan of spiritual growth through the Planes of Heaven. It is a sign of wisdom to give thought to the next life and to seek mastery in both worlds.

For readers who lack a living teacher and wish to pursue a course similar ours, you can do so. As you read along, you will discover how.

This book was culled and edited from some 6,000 pages of transcripts generously provided by Elizabeth Kirby, who inherited them from two of Mary’s late students, Mary Jean Cope and Judith Porter.

Life is eternal. This is the education for the next life.

CHAPTER 1 LIVING IN TWO WORLDS

As we noted in the earlier Planes books, the Planes of Heaven are expressions of the soul’s growth and progression. They represent the different states and conditions through which an individual soul passes along the way of spiritual ongoing, the inner reality awaiting all who wish to know the meaning and purpose of life here and hereafter. Heaven’s planes embody definite and distinct evolutionary steps to which an individual ascends in his progressive unfoldment. They consist of finely subdivided vibrations of energy from coarsest to highest refinement, and though interchanged with ours, they are richer in light and of finer strata. One may think of these planes as areas of consciousness, with the proviso that conveying fourth dimensional reality in a three dimensional world requires a degree of spiritual jujitsu. In our deepest understanding, we become aware of the existence of different realms, each of which is in one sense a world in itself, though in the wider sense, all are parts of one magnificent whole.

The actual existence of what some might call supernatural around us, we come to see is entirely natural. Lest anyone doubt, the absolute certainty of a future state of being following the body’s passage in death is revealed as conviction when one visits the Planes of Heaven. For we live in two worlds simultaneously – visible and invisible; it is one world without end, amen, as Mary always said, and the so-called other world is as close as our hands and feet. The link between this life and the afterlife becomes stronger and stronger as you progress in the Planes.

The maps of heaven we share in these books in the Planes series are guideposts. They are charts of consciousness beyond materiality as we know it, and are used to make a connection between the visible and invisible worlds. Thinking of the maps as illustrating states of consciousness, vibratory rates, and dimensions of being help us understand a more accurate picture of the planes.

How many planes are there? Undoubtedly thousands, millions, billions, likely an infinite number, more than any human mind can begin to grasp. The highest plane of reality may be unfathomable, but the purpose of humanity is to continually progress towards that goal. Many ways, many masters, and many degrees of scientific understanding have been used to discover how to reach the other world. The Bible speaks about going up, about being with angels in the upper realms of glory; the book of Revelation cites a half a dozen references to heaven, giving us a basic foundation for building our thought of the Planes. Eight thousand years ago, Egyptian prophets and seers wrote about the planes and about communication between the two worlds.

The Planes of Heaven is not only our destination after we pass from this life on Earth, but to prepare for our future journey as well as enrich the present, we are privileged to visit there every night of our lives here on Earth. That is exactly what our group did in Mary Weddell’s Planes classes during the years Mary taught us, and what we are still doing today, long after Mary’s passing. Mary always said if you’re going on a trip, wouldn’t you want to know something about your destination before you leave? We ought to become acquainted with those planes now, while we’re here. And we can. Anyone can. Everyone can.

On Earth, we are living in a shadow land, the shadow of the heaven world. When this life is over, we step into that next world, into a new condition with new surroundings. There is a plan of life for our life here, just as there is a plan of life there, going on. We are told that awakening is the underlying purpose of our lives on Earth and that our nightly studies on the planes teaches adjustment to meet that challenge. Work in the temples and halls of learning on the other side is a means of ongoing, giving us the development we need to take the next step.

    Science and the Afterlife

Apart from any religious doctrine and belief, there are scientific theories for life after death. Applying quantum theory, we can assert life doesn’t end when the body dies, but that at death, consciousness moves to another dimension beyond time and space. The theory of the death of consciousness has been perpetuated because people identify themselves with their body, assuming that since the body perishes, conscious intelligence will disappear as well. But consciousness exists outside of constraints of time and space. Intelligence existed prior to matter. Consciousness creates the material universe, not the other way around.

Upon death, energy is released from your body, and your consciousness goes with it. Multiple worlds, multiple universes exist simultaneously, exactly as in the heavenly planes. These ideas were developed further by physicist Dr. Hugh Everett at Princeton, who wrote about the theory of multiple universes. As Wheeler explained, there are an abundance of places where our soul can migrate after death (i.e., to the Planes of Heaven). Our brains are receivers for the consciousness that is intrinsic to the fabric of space/time. Consciousness is nonmaterial and lives on after the death of the physical body. This explains things like near death experiences (NDE), astral projection, out of body experiences and reincarnation, without relying on religious ideology. The energy of your consciousness gets recycled back into a different body at some point, and in the meantime it exists apart from the physical body (in your spiritual body) on some other level of reality (the Planes of Heaven).

Then there is the Law of Conservation of Energy, which as students we all encountered in our science classes: energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but can only be changed in form.

Contact between Earth and Heaven is as old as creation. It is the way to God for mankind. The science of nighttime soul travel is mentioned not only in the Bible but by all great religions as far back as more than ten thousand years that we know of. Indians, Tibetans, Persians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Greek esotericists, early Christians and others accepted as reality the communication between our two worlds, recognizing that when human consciousness is focused on the inner planes in sleep, the liberated soul is free to commune with its own nature, partaking of the invisible world. From time immemorial, spiritual teachers have taken students in their sleep to the heavenly realms for spiritual training; it is a part of the inner knowledge of all faiths.

All religious scriptures come from the same source, which is very ancient. Divine wisdom tells us that the universe is the expression of a supreme conscious life, whether we call it God, Yahweh, the Absolute, Universal Mind, Jehovah, the Elohim, or countless other names (the Bible uses 72 different names for God) . The Infinite Intelligence that transcends the power of human conception is beyond thought or speculation. Every man has God within, a direct celestial ray from the One True Source.

Now is the time to become acquainted with that invisible land all of us will some day inhabit, and to strengthen ties with the life beyond to which we are eternally linked, to know its reality, its perfection, its all inclusiveness, where all is order, where healing abounds and where love dwells.

    To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

During sleep, everybody goes somewhere, whether to the Planes of Heaven or to the Sleep World. The Sleep World is a rest area for souls who are not in spiritual work on the planes. You will find the Sleep World located on the left side of the included map of the Subplane/1st Plateau, to the left of Restland. Leaving the body through the chakra at the top of the head, the spiritual or soul body forms, and in this body, the sleeper goes out, ascends to the Sleep World, a location which is spoken of in the Bible. In the Sleep World, the soul experiences dreams that are filtered to the intelligence of the dreamer. Perhaps these dreams will awaken the dreamer to wish to advance spiritually, to be taken out in his sleep by a heavenly guide.

Going out and being taken out are two very different activities. One of Mary Weddell’s spiritual gifts was the ability to take her students out to the other side at night. Having mastered laws governing the ascent and descent of the soul between Heaven and Earth, with the help of invisible hosts, Mary summoned our spiritual bodies as we slept, allowing us to enter the higher realms, to be met by guides and teachers for night training in the heaven world’s temples and halls of learning.

How does this work? When we contact that other world every night in sleep, our spiritual bodies are connected to our physical bodies by the spiritual cord, also known as the silver cord. This cord, which is attenuated when traveling out of the body, is referred to in Scriptures (Ecclesiastes 12:6-7): Or ever the silver cord be loosed ... then ... the spirit shall return unto God who gave it, and was known to exist from time immemorial.

The silver cord is the creative energy going through us that keeps us on a ribbon of light with which we go to that other world. It remains attached throughout nighttime experiences; it is not severed until the transition of death, as we call our graduation from this earthly school. The soul travels on this silver cord along Nature’s Creative Energy (see map) to a gathering area on the 3rd Plane of Heaven for orientation, to then be taken elsewhere on the planes for training. Starting at midnight, our class would spend between two to five hours each night in training on the other side.

We travel to the heavens on etheric lodestones, one behind the other, in a line. Mary described it as being like an interminable glittering chain of vivid light composed of magnetic circles that are all looped together, one in another, which sweep around the realms of space like flowers in a ribbon of fire. When we go as a band together, it reminds me very much of a cable car. There isn't any noise, but every once in a while, there’s an impetus of movement of that power as we’re going through to the spirit world. And that's about all we feel. It's a very steep ascent and very quickly done. We know we’re higher, in more power. Lodestones lift us and temporarily raise our vibration. They furnish the creative energy for us to move. It's like an elevator, except that it's at a 45 degree angle. As we’re going up, each of us is holding our hand on the next person's shoulder.

ESTHER BARNES You’ve mentioned lodestones as being very important in our night travel.

MARY It’s the light of the lodestones that lift us as we go climbing through
