About this ebook
Bullies are Everywhere is a play that features Nicki who is 14 and Eddie is 12. They live on a property a great distance from any town or city with their parents. They can’t go to a normal school because it is too far away from their house. They learn from the school of Distance Education where they talk to their teachers each day on the radio.
Their mother gets sick and the whole family has to go to the city for her to get medical attention on a weekly basis.
Nicki and Eddie’s lives change dramatically when they go to live with their grandmother and enroll in a big high school that apparently has many weird teachers and is full of bullies.
The play has twelve characters and is recommended for middle school kids to read and to perform in.

I was born in Cincinnati and grew up in the American Mid-West. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received a Masters in Education from the University of Cincinnati. I became a teacher and found a job teaching English and Film and Television at Trinity Bay State High School in Cairns, Australia. As a teacher I wrote many One Act Plays that students enjoyed performing in. I became the Rugby coach at the school and began writing novels that my students could read, relate to and understand. I decided to publish the novels under the name of Teen Friendly Books. At present I have 15 written and 10 published. My plan is to write many more books for teens to read and enjoy.

ACT I
Scene 1
A young girl of 14 stands on the left side of the stage with her arms folded. A spot light shines on her as she speaks.
She is not happy. As she talks, her sad face is very obvious to the audience.
NICKI
I don't want to leave. Do they care? No way
are they thinking about me.
This house is all that I know. Do they care?
Of course they don't.
How can I leave this property? This is my
home. This is where I have spent my whole
fourteen years of life.
They do not understand! They don't get it! I
don't want to move to the city!
What is in the city? Noise and Pollution and
too many people!
I cannot leave this place. This is where my
friends live. I cannot leave my horses who
are my best friends! No Way!
I don't want to leave, this place is my life!
(The girl freezes and a light comes up on her thirteen year old brother who sits in a chair on the opposite side of the stage. He wears a cowboy hat, jeans and boots. He is a real country boy.)
EDDIE
My sister is real sad. You might have
noticed.
She does not want to go anywhere or do
anything else in life.
She wants to stay here, probably for the
next eighty years.
(He stands up)
I like this place. I like it out here too, who
wouldn't? They call it God's country, I
think, because its a place where God would
like to live.
But Nicki doesn't get it. Mum is sick and
needs to live near a hospital. She is real
