    Megan watched her grandparents planting their garden. It was spring break, and she was staying with them while her parents were at a wedding out of town. Her older brother, Micah, was on a trip with their church youth group to build homes for disadvantaged people. Megan lived next door to her grandparents and saw them almost every day, but this was the first time she had spent the night with them. Now that she was ten and finishing grammar school, they felt she was old enough to help with things around the house like gardening and cooking.
