Obsessed With The Kill - TJ Weeks

    Chapter 1

Seriously Wyatt, if you don’t hurry up I’m going to leave you, we’ve planned this trip for a whole year. Allison said.

Wyatt had a sly look on his face, Relax babe, I’m almost done loading the Tahoe down. We’re only going to be gone a week you know.

Yes baby, but we still have to pick up everyone else and you know how Braylee procrastinates everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t have to pack her bags for her. Allison said in a joking manner.

Wyatt just laughed and loaded the rest of the bags. Allison gave her parents a hug as she headed for the car.

Bring my baby back in one piece Wyatt. Allison’s mom called out.

You have my word Mrs. Dane. Wyatt called back.

I love you sweetheart and don’t forget to call to let us know when you have landed. Mrs. Dane said to Allison.

    I will mom. Allison said.

They closed the doors and started heading out to pick up the rest of their friends.

Allison knocked on the door impatiently at the high rise apartment building. Her friend Braylee opened the door.

You better be packed. Allison said sternly.

Keep your panties on Allison; I’ve been packed since yesterday. Braylee said quickly.

I can’t believe we’re going to Switzerland for a whole week and Brandon is going to be there. Braylee said excitedly before Allison could rudely interrupt again.

Sounds like you need to keep your panties on. Allison said jokingly.

I don’t even know if he likes me Allison. I mean I’d talk to him, but then he would probably think I’m pushy since I didn’t let him make the first move.

Allison started laughing. You are pushy, now get your bags and let’s get this show on the road.

Ok, ok it’s going to be an awesome week nevertheless. Braylee said.

After swinging by and picking up Beth, Brittany and Brandon, they started the long drive to Dallas, Texas.

Goodbye Hawkins! The group hollered out the window at their one last stop for gas.

The six had become fast friends thirteen years ago in kindergarten.  All being so different, they all had kept within their circle of each other all the way through elementary, junior high and high school.  Wyatt was the sarcastic one of the group; he had the bluest eyes you have ever seen, and about five foot nine with short dark brown hair. He always kept a little scruff on his face and was always dressed nice and business like.  Allison was the rich one of the group; her parents were well off and always tried to give Allison what she wanted. She was shorter than Wyatt and had green eyes with beautiful long dark hair and was always dressed in blouses and skirts. Braylee was the goofy one; but smart, about five foot two with shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes and was never on time for anything. Brandon was the jock, was broad and about six feet three with a flat top of black hair.  Brittany was the nerd of the group, she had been in all the advanced classes all thirteen years, calculus being her specialty. She was very homely looking with glasses, she had long brown hair that she kept pulled back and brown eyes. They were all so different but the best of friends. Beth was the quiet sweet one that didn’t draw much attention to herself.

Man, I’m lucky my dad let me come after that last loss of the season. Brandon said.

Football Brandon, It’s only a game. Beth said.

Yeah, but you don’t know my dad. Brandon said in a serious tone.

Well your dad should grow up. Brittany said swiftly.

Brandon laughed. I’ll let you be the one to tell him that.

Ok guys, I took the liberty of printing out all the things we can do. Braylee said.

We can go skiing, we can go hiking, they have water parks, spas and there are quite a few famous restaurants there.

Oh, we are SO hitting the spa. Allison said.

Amen. The rest of the girls said in a kind of cheer way.

You all can do what you want, but I’m not freezing my ass off at a waterpark. Wyatt said.

Dude its winter there for like nine months out of the year, skiing is where I’ll be. Brandon said.

Either way this will be the last summer we get to spend together before we start our lives. We should make it count. Beth said

What do you mean? Brittany asked.

It means we’re all going to be split up leaving for college. I mean think about it, none of us got into the same college. Beth explained further.

Trust me; it’s Switzerland, who can forget that. Wyatt said.

Finally at the huge airport Wyatt and Brandon unloaded all the bags. Two revolving doors seemed to be the entry way inside, one by one, they made their way through the doors. They all stopped at the giant screens to decipher which way to go. With excitement running through them, it seemed to be a confusing task to figure out what terminal they were supposed to be going to and seemed to take forever to make it through security. Finally at their terminal, the blue and white sign made it clear that is where they were supposed to start.

Do you have any carry-on? The lady at the front desk asked.

The lady’s name tag said Judy, she had on the most hideous blue and white scarf and shirt to match.

Just a backpack each. Allison snickered.

The group loaded their bags on the conveyor to be placed under the plane. After handing over their tickets, they boarded the plane. The plane seemed a bit stuffy, the seats were dark green semi plush with white arm rests. The floor of the plane was covered with a light green carpet.

As the group found their seats Brandon started putting his backpack he brought for his carry-on in the above compartment. As he goes to sit down a broad, dark haired man shoulder checked him and almost knocked him into his seat.

Watch it! The man said. Brandon turned and looked at Wyatt.

Did you see that guy? What the hell is his problem?" Wyatt said.

Brandon turned around and apologized to Braylee fore he had bumped her as he was almost pushed into his seat. Braylee started smiling.

It’s ok Brandon, not like you were trying to jump in my lap.

Brandon smiles back. You’re welcome to sit in mine.

The yellow buckle seatbelt sign turned on as the stewardess started her spill.

I may take you up on that sometime. Braylee said to Brandon.

The plane gained speed as it lifted off hitting very little turbulence. The pilot announced it was going to be clear skies. As Brandon and Braylee got more acquainted, Brittany put on her earphones to listen to music and everyone else put their earphones in and started watching the movie played on the flight.

HOLY CRAP, DID YOU SEE THAT! Wyatt yelled out about the movie.

Brandon pulled the earphone away from his ear.

Dude the whole plane can hear you.

    Wyatt started laughing. Sorry bro.

After a long and tiring thirteen hour flight, a relationship developed between Braylee and Brandon and several movies later the plane came to a stop in Switzerland.

Oh my god, look at all the snow. Allison said.

It looks like a winter wonderland. Braylee said.

    It’s so beautiful. Allison added.

Come on guys we HAVE to get a picture. Beth said.

They got one of the other departing members from the plane to take a picture for them.

The group took a taxi to the hotel which was right next to a huge clock tower. There were large columns that went from ground to roof out front. The door was a huge glass door with the name of the hotel etched in gold. When standing in front of the hotel you could see beautiful snowy mountains for as far as you could see in the back drop. On the left of the hotel there was a huge hill of beautiful green snow topped trees, the greenery to melt a faint heart. On the right was scattered homes of significant size and color. Altogether, it looked as if in a fairytale or staring into a postcard. The group made their way into the hotel. The tile was a brownish gold, a huge crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling in the middle of the lobby. A staircase was to the right and a sign that read customer/freight elevator was to the left.

How many rooms? The lady at the front desk asked.

Five please and for seven days. Allison responded.

I think Brandon and I can handle sharing a room. Braylee said.

Allison started laughing and corrected herself.

Ok, guess we’ll only need four rooms.

Everyone got their room keys and made their way to the customer elevator and then to their assigned rooms.

After some much needed rest, everyone met up for the complimentary breakfast at the hotel. With all of the food, it was hard for the group to decide what to eat first.

How was everyone’s night? Allison asked as they all sat down with a plate.

We didn’t sleep much. Braylee said with a smile as she looked up at Brandon.

Uh Oh, guess you made it official. Wyatt said jokingly.

Well hopefully everyone else got some sleep. Allison said.

We slept fine. Brittany and Beth responded.

Well I’ve decided that we’re going to have a girl’s day at the spa and let the boys see whatever they can get into. Allison said.

They all agreed, finished their breakfast and set off on the day’s adventure.

Allison and her girlfriends headed to the spa for their mud baths. A fleece white bathrobe was handed to each of the girls as they entered the spa. After changing, they all placed their clothes in their assigned lockers and were directed to a steam filled room and placed in a bathtub filled with warm mud. Brandon and Wyatt broke away from the hotel not really sure of what to do.

We should be hitting those slopes man. Brandon said.

This is a skiing trip bro; we’ll all go together later today or tomorrow. Wyatt replied.

Well what are we going to do? Brandon asked.

I don’t know man, let’s walk around and see what this town has to offer. Wyatt said.

The two started walking the streets to decide how they would like to spend their day.

This is SO awesome Allison. Thank you for taking all of us and paying for this amazing trip. Brittany said to Allison.

You all are my best friends, Of course I’d take you and besides my parents did say anywhere we wanted to go. Take it as a graduation gift. Allison replied.

What have you and Wyatt decided you’re going to do when you leave out for college? Braylee asked.

    Well. Allison said hesitantly.

Don’t tell me you’re going to split up. Beth said frantically.

We have actually talked about getting married next fall. Allison said as she glared at Beth for the remark.

What? Oh my god. Why haven’t you mentioned that? Braylee asked.

Well with everyone leaving out going their separate ways....We were thinking about just going to the JP office. I mean, I couldn’t have a wedding without you all there. Allison said.

Girl you know we wouldn’t miss it for the world. Beth said quickly.

As the boys walked down the snow covered sidewalk Brandon pointed out a flashing green and red neon sign.

Let’s go in there. Brandon stated.

Dude we’re only eighteen. Wyatt said.

In the print out Braylee had, it stated that in this part of Europe the drinking age is eighteen. Besides I’m not saying we should go get messed up, but let’s have a few. Brandon said excitedly.

Guess a few wouldn’t hurt. Wyatt said as they walked into the bar.

When they walked in, they could see a rough looking group of guys in the corner of the bar at a small bar table. As the door shut behind them, some men seated in the corner were staring at them. These men were all dressed nice, but had muddy looking boots on and they all had a lot of scruff on their face except one, but all had a dark complexion.

Are you sure we can be in here? Those men don’t look too pleased with us being in here. Wyatt said while he looked at the men.

I’m positive, besides all they can do is ask us to leave. Brandon replied.

They both pulled up a black stool to the bar. There was a long water splashed mirror behind the bar with hundreds of bottles in front of it. Above them were all different shaped glasses hanging upside down.

What will it be gentlemen? The barkeep asked.

The bartender was an old man with a short white beard, with what appeared to be an old welder’s cap and only stood about five foot five inches tall.

Two Bud Light’s please. Brandon said back to the old man. The barkeep popped the top off the bottlenecks and handed them to the boys.

Wonder what the guys are doing? Braylee said randomly.

Brandon’s probably picking up some hot European chick right now. Beth said while laughing.

That’s not funny Beth. Braylee said angrily.

You’re really worried about that Braylee? Not only have you had an enormous crush on him since the second grade, but you seem to hit it off pretty well. Allison stated.

I’m not worried that he would run off with some European chick, it’s just stupid to state. We really do hit it off well. I’m not making wedding plans, but I do see a future there. Braylee responded.

Well I wish you the best. Brittany had added.

I’m sure they went shopping around or found some kind of arcade place. Allison said.

Boys and their games. Brittany said as she rolled her eyes.

Let’s grab one more and we can find somewhere else to go. Brandon said.

Yeah, I can handle another. Wyatt stated.

    Brandon ordered two more bottlenecks.

What do you think it’ll be like? Brandon asked Wyatt.

What will what be like? Wyatt asked confused.

    College. Brandon replied.

I’m sure it’ll be like High School, just with a purpose. Wyatt said.

Yeah, but football is going to be a bigger competition, expectations are going to be higher on everything. Can I be honest with you? Brandon asked.

    Wyatt shook his head.

I don’t even want to play football. I loved it when we were kids, but my dad is so competitive that it feels like a job, like an expectation held over my head that if I fail the world will hate me or something. Brandon said.

Look man, you’re going to college. You’re starting your own life. I know your dad wants you to play, but we’re going to college to better our job careers, to start a new chapter in OUR lives. Don’t start it off in your dad’s shoes. Do something for yourself. Wyatt responded.

You know what? You’re absolutely right. This is my life. I’m just going to tell my dad I’m not going to play. That I want to concentrate on my studies. Brandon said with a better attitude.

Good for you man. Wyatt responded.

The two finished up their beers and headed toward the door. The men in the corner were still staring at them as they exited the bar.

Guess being a stranger in a town is unheard of. Wyatt stated.

This is vacation and last I checked we didn’t need to check in with the town’s people. Brandon replied.

You’re right. Wyatt said as he started laughing.

Ok ladies, let’s get washed up. I feel like I’m turning into mud. Allison said.

The girls jumped into the fancy looking showers and washed the mud from their every crevice. Allison and Braylee were the first to finish showering. As they wiped their bodies down with the soft towels Braylee stated.

    Seriously, Allison congratulations!

Allison had looked up at her.

Thank you. We’ve been together for a really long time and I think we are ready to take that step. Allison replied as Brittany and Beth joined them. The girls dug their clothes out of the lockers.

Ok, come on girls. I’m going to call the boys up and see just where they’re at. Said Allison.

The phone rang a few times.

    Hello. Wyatt answered.

Hey honey, where are you boys? Allison asked.

We just left out of the town’s bar. Wyatt responded.

What? How is that? Allison asked confused.

The drinking age is eighteen here. Wyatt answered.

Well hopefully you boys didn’t get too messed up, cause we’re done here and coming to meet up for skiing. Allison stated.

    Wyatt started laughing.

We only had two beers and yes we are definitely ready for skiing.

Ok so let’s meet up at ski resort in twenty minutes. Allison stated.

Sounds good, we’ll start heading that way now. Wyatt replied.

Ok babe, see you there. Allison stated.

This is hill country. Brandon stated as they make their way up and over all the hills of snow.

We should’ve called a cab. Wyatt responded.

Then we would look out of shape pulling up. Brandon stated while laughing

Yeah, but how good of shape are we going to look when we’re sucking air getting there. Wyatt responded.

Well at least I can see it now, might as well suck it up down home stretch. Brandon stated.

Wyatt laughed and continued up the long slope.

As Wyatt and Brandon walked up to the ski resort, they could see Allison standing outside with all their gear.

    It’s about time. Allison stated.

Give me a break babe; we walked all the way here. Wyatt responded.

    Well let’s go. Allison smiled.

    Wyatt smiled back and agreed.

At the top of the steepest slope, they stood there looking down. The slope was filled with many experienced skiers and looked a little intimidating.

This is insane. Brandon said excitedly.

    Beth looked worried.

I’m not sure if I can do this guys.

    Allison looked at Wyatt.

It’s pretty safe Beth, there’s not many tree’s on this side of the mountain. I tell you what, let a few of the others go so you can see and then I’ll go down with you when you’re ready. Wyatt stated.

But what if I fall, that’s going to leave a pretty bad burn and that’s a long way to roll down. Beth replied.

Would you be more comfortable on a smaller slope? Wyatt asked.

I’d be a lot more comfortable. Beth replied.

    Wyatt looked at Allison

"Ok then you all go ahead. Beth and I have a date with the smaller slopes.

I can’t ask you to do that. Allison may need you here. Beth stated.

I’ll be fine baby girl. I’ll let you borrow my man just this once. Allison said in a humorous voice.

But I want you to have fun too Wyatt. Beth stated.

Are you kidding me? Look at this place. I’m having a blast. Wyatt quickly replied.

Wyatt and Beth started down the mountain to the smaller slopes.

    "You really
