    Introduction

Magical Angkor Wat Temple amazes more than two million visitors each year. However, there are a number of things to see in Siem Reap other than temples and pagodas.

This book gives 20 must-see or do attraction, including an additional nine things to do and see. Although some of the items are in the Angkor Wat Park, they are not temples or pagodas.

As these items are additional things to do and see in Siem Reap other than the temples, there is no itinerary for them. Scan though the book and see what attractions you would like to see or activities you would like to do and try to fit them in between temple visits. After reading this book, you may realize that Siem Reap warrants a day or two extra vacation time.

For visitors who are tight on time, this book goes hand in hand with my book Angkor Wat: 20 Must-See Temples, which gives you the top 20 temples to see.

If your vacation includes more towns in Cambodia, or Vietnam, Thailand, or Laos, see my books about these places to enhance your holiday.

This has not been proven as fact as of yet and remains a legend and the actual origin of the name remains unknown.
