About this ebook
Think of a world where the term vampire means something different than a sparkly race that is above humans. A world where Ireland meets vampire. Fantasy meets culture. Modernism meets mythology. All of these polar opposites clash in an intriguing story of a beach-loving girl who gets more than she bargained for when she inquires about her family history. There are parts of her family that will have any vampire lover cringe and be "sucked in" to what will happen next. This edge of your seat thriller will have you guessing and guessing again. Just when you think you know what will happen, the author shuts down your thought processes and completely throws you off track. Stay tuned for this series, there are many more to come!

Prologue
Modern Day, Ireland
In a land of mystery, legends are in abundance. Camelot, a well-known legend had been passed down for generations. Prevailing stories of magic, swords, allegiance, valor, and romance are normal every-day topics. Recently, historians have come across a very different legend during a time of fighting dragons and an Arthurian love triangle.
A beep and simultaneous blinking indicated an incoming email on her laptop. As she nonchalantly hovered her cursor over the notification, she sighed at the subject line: Ancient tome found in a castle outside of Auberdine.
Well, we knew it would happen someday, it was only a matter of time before they found it.
Finally, she opened it up, already skeptical of the content. She browsed the email:
Attention Dr. Donnelly, Senior Archeologist and Historian of Early Irish and Gaelic culture:
This artifact is perhaps the greatest archeological find in Irish history, and quite possibly, of the entire world. For your review, Dr. Donnelly, I have attached the analysis. We here at the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, sincerely appreciate your assistance in this endeavor and look forward to meeting with you as well as showing you this priceless artifact.
Description of find:
While performing routine maintenance around the relatively small castle, a janitor haphazardly hung his broom on the wall. When doing so, he forcedly pushed forward on the broom, causing a ---
Blatantly ignoring their useless preamble, she downloaded the attached pictures and organized them in a slideshow, jotting down her notes as she went along.
An ancient book from the depths of a castle in the tiny village of Auberdine in county Waterford, Ireland, was recently discovered. The dusty book, with inscriptions and symbols was very complex and modern for the time. It seemed to be projecting an almost inhuman feel with languages unidentifiable to any researcher who had investigated it. The ancient relic depicted vast spiritual meaning, but no true acts of violence were evident until the very end. Upon the end of the relic, there was a very brutal depiction of an end to a civilization and quite possibly, the beginning of another very different one.
Historians have gathered enough material to gander at the meaning of the relic. Fire, a spiritually binding element is used frequently; also there are references to an illuminated crystal. The beginning, perhaps, began in a circle with a roaring fire in the center. There is a view of ten persons joined together holding an illuminated crystal in their palms. The scene here illustrated bright colored robes, very different from what would be suspected; that of the dark and dreary area the members seem to be in. There seemed to be no true leader, all members standing as equals. The meeting is a ceremony of sorts, showing a well-worn and frequently used room with shelves that are labeled with crystal of various shapes, sizes, colors, and dimensions.
The following page shows what appears to be a written transcript and roster for the meeting. The names are unique and similar in nature, seeming to follow a pattern. The names flow, with a very interesting symbol preceding each name that is unidentifiable, but in close relation to that of a unity circle or the symbol of infinity, which is not common for the time. More interesting than the roster page, however, are the illustrations on the next page. A scene shows one of the bright-colored robe wearers, though it is not clear as to which one, in less formal attire, possibly in a home-like setting. The home is much more modern than believed possible, with styles and cooking conveniences that some homes today do not have. The woman, as she appears to be extraordinarily female, is leaning over a table in what appears to be dire agony. It seems as though she cut herself in some way. Out of distinct habit, she attempts to stop the bleeding by
