About this series

Book Four in the Celestial Series is The Daemon. This installment follows Grace as she navigates trickier aspects of her mission, which includes her own progression in her role as Savior to the Fallen angels. She’s managed to get through the ordeal of the Atonement alive, but not all of her beneficiaries are grateful, including the escaped daemon Shax, who is all for remedying that glitch. Samael and Lilith are all too willing to even an old score as well. Grace remains subject to the limitations on her human half, which plunges her into the depths of grief and despair, even as she awaits the birth of her child with Benjamin. She is called to save the sinner, but finds herself stranded in unexplored territory when close proximity forces her to examine the privilege of being on the winning side of history.

ICU nurse Beth Jordan understands challenging situations and meets them head on. Between a demanding work schedule, renovating her historical home, helping her veteran brother through PTSD after combat in the Middle East, and resolving aspects of her traumatic childhood, her life is full- too full for additional complications. When Beth is involved in an accident resulting in a fatality, she is unwittingly pulled into events beyond her immediate understanding, shaking up her predictable existence. Dramatic rescues are commonplace in her line of work, but the man she helps save turns out to be a rock star whose initial gratitude turns into romantic interest- and Beth isn’t sure she wants to draw the attention of an international celebrity. Even if he is practically irresistible. Relief from financial strain comes in the form of two fellow veterans her brother sends to rent rooms from her. One might say the timing is heaven-sent. While the men get to work helping her refurbish the house, Beth can’t help wonder why she feels so secure on such a short acquaintance, when it isn’t her nature to trust so easily. Then disturbing dreams of angels and demons begin to plague her. Tension builds as suppressed memories from her childhood resurface and coincidences occur that aren’t easily explained. Beth discovers not only can she not escape events in her past, they might play a crucial role in her future. As she realizes the men in her life are not who they seem to be, she is also faced with choices that catapult an ordinary woman into the potential for an extraordinary destiny in the ultimate struggle between good and evil.

Elizabeth Jordan’s story continues in The Sentinel, the second installment of The Celestial Series. Pregnant with a child of prophecy, Elizabeth Jordan knows the opposition is determined to thwart the restoration of order. Amid the excitement of their wedding preparations, Beth and Sam grapple with protecting the child by keeping its true mission a secret for as long as possible- and Lucifer is not easy to fool. While her wedding to Sam is a source of deep joy, Beth’s happiness is compromised by unresolved feelings for the child’s biological father, the same archangel charged with the mission to fulfill the prophecy. He has withdrawn to the realm to marshal angelic reinforcements in a decisive bid to protect the child. While Beth deals with an increasingly complicated pregnancy, she continues to adjust to her role as a prophetess, whose visions manifest mostly in dreams that torment her with a malevolent presence. She knows there will be a reckoning- but lives with the knowledge that if she cannot defeat this enemy, the consequences are eternal.
