About this ebook

Written by Scribd Editors

Names have power.

In medieval and Renaissance Europe, they believed that speaking a demon’s true name would give you the power to summon it, compel it, and bind it to your will.

The Dictionary of Demons: Names of the Damned is a thoroughly researched reference book that contains the names of more than 1,500 demons. Author Michelle Belanger is an occult scholar who combed through the most well-known and obscure texts and artifacts to collect the information in this powerful book.

Learn the true names of demons, their backgrounds, themes, elemental correspondence, or planetary correspondence. All of this information is organized alphabetically by name and cross-referenced for easy study and review.

Pulling information from articles, woodcuts, etchings, and paintings, The Dictionary of Demons is one of the most comprehensive texts of its kind. It is a great addition to the library of any individual who is curious about the occult.

I'd love to believe that the main body of this work is accurate but being a scholar who has studied Hebrew, I've noticed that the introduction to this work is so unbelievably wrought with misinformation that I take the entire text with a grain of salt and forewarn you to do the same.
