Meanwhile, Helen and Levi finally heal from the loss of their first child as Helen prepares to give birth again. This story, gleaned from The Tenth Commandment, highlights the meaning of God’s word in a heartbreaking way as Ruth learns and is given a double portion of motherhood in the end.

      February was harsh. It rained for two days, a frigid, soaking rain that had frozen over night, and travel was treacherous.  Abram drove the horses down the blacktopped road, the sled skis sliding skittering beneath him. Morning sun revealed thick ice on the trees and foliage, but the crystalline brilliance of the new day took his breath as he noticed the thick ice on every tree and branch on the way to Miller farm. Doors were frozen shut and animals were bedded down until the sun could melt away the impenetrable ice. It had taken more than two hours to prepare for the ride, and when he finally made the turn into Miller farm, a grateful Henry met him at the barn, for Mudder Miller was
