About this ebook

FromNo. 1New York Timesbestselling author Karen Kingsbury, comes the second novel in a brand new series about divine intervention and second chances - the dramatic story of a woman desperate to find deeper meaning in her life.

Mary Catherine grew up in a comfortable life, despite an array of health issues including a congenital heart condition (which she quietly obsesses over). She loves her parents, who are quite wealthy, but the lifestyle never appealed to her. Instead, she pursues meaning through an abundance of charity work, always giving away a part of herself in service of others.

After her project with a local youth centre comes to an end, Mary Catherine decides to travel to Uganda on a mission to meet the two children she sponsors - and to find out if her donations are actually helping.

Accompanied by Tyler, Sami, and Marcus Dillinger, Mary Catherine arrives in Africa only to find a makeshift orphanage with seventeen children and no one to care for them.

They return home with heavy hearts, and Mary Catherine knows there is more work to be done. Intent on returning to Africa, Mary Catherine quits her job and leaves a budding romance behind to fulfil her desire to help others.

Inspirational and moving, Chasing Sunsetsis the story of one woman's deep longings of the soul, and the sacrifices she's willing to make in search of healing.

Karen excels at drawing the reader into the character's POV.

As a Christian fiction, the amount of touching, hugging and physical affection was more than I would want for a non-married couple.

The solutions were too easy and not realistic for the girls abused in the way she described. They would not readily open up to strangers, nor were they given an alternative, only "don't continue or you'll go to jail." (I don't have any answers, either. I've worked with them and the issues are deeper, the drug effects are longer lasting.)

I don't like books that end without resolution so you must buy the next book for completion.

Awesome! The Angel Walking series are my best of all KKs books. They are so real and rich with the perfect blend of divinity and humanity!

Indeed angels are real. I love Karen’s imaginations and how she shows HmGods hands in all we do or think.
    Great read.

Wow! What an emotional read! I loved Jag and Ember in this one, and enjoyed seeing both new and familiar faces in this second act of the Angels Walking series. While I wasn't as invested in the main 'couple' of this one as I was in Tyler and Sami's story, I did enjoy seeing Marcus and Mary Katherine helping the community and spending time with friends and God. Can't wait to read the next one to see what challenges they will overcome!
