      The story so far: 21 year old Lexi has reconnected with Luke, a friend of her brother’s. Four years ago, she couldn’t stop thinking about him. Last night, she discovered he felt the same way about her. And that he was a wolf shifter. After a night of passion, Lexi wakes up to the sight of a wolf in the bedroom. And no Luke.

      PART 2 BEGINS:

      I froze. The wolf padded toward the bed.

      Was it Luke? Telling myself not to panic, I reached out a hand. The creature’s glittering blue eyes and dark brown pelt reminded me of him. But could I be sure it was him?

      I caught sight of my bare breast. Oops. I was still naked. Although I’d just had the best sex of my life (although there really wasn’t much to compare it with, just a few months with my college boyfriend before he transferred to his dream school), it would be really embarrassing if this wolf was not my lover from the night before.

      I clutched the sheet, hiking it up to my neck. The wolf dipped his head, as if he was trying not to laugh.

      Yeah, I know that sounds strange, but the whole situation was weird.

      Luke? Is that you? I held my breath.

      I don’t know what I expected; for the wolf to talk back or for him to transform into Luke. I certainly didn’t expect him to nuzzle my hand.

      I leaned over, trying to keep my balance on the bed as well as clutch the sheet to protect my modesty, although this creature had already seen everything.

      I patted his head, the fur half soft and half coarse. I’d expected the creature’s coat to be smooth like a cat or dog’s fur, or like one of those cute little puppies, but it felt a little wiry. I looked down
