A Scripture A Day Keeps the Devil Away - LaRhonda Simmons-Person

    Introduction

A Scripture a Day Will Keep the Devil Away is designed to help you apply these biblical scriptures to your daily life. As stated in Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Similarly, it is stated in 2 Timothy 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Every scripture is important, but what is the most important thing mankind needs to know in this day? Everyone needs to know you must be born again.  Salvation must be obtained by all mankind. God is no respect of person. You must accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior.

The preparation of this document is designed for multiple purposes. The primary purpose of this book is to build a strong foundation rooted in the Word of God. Another purpose is for daily use, by reading one scripture a day and allowing the Word of God to take root in your heart. The third way this book can be used is by category. It is organized by category and you can go to a particular section and apply the scripture to a specific problem you are dealing with in your life.

The Word of God is life, the Word of God is power, the Word of God is a seed. Allow the Word of God to take root in your heart as you allow him to change your life.

    Laying the Foundation

The purpose is to build a strong foundation through studying the Word of God. The Kingdom of God will replace the Kingdom of darkness as one seeks the truth. A strong foundation will help one establish a positive contribution to the body of Christ. The body of Christ is one Spirit headed by Christ, with many members of the body on one accord.

Ephesians 4:2-6 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

This book contains over 400 scriptures to guide you with your walk with Jesus. We walk by faith not by sight. As you continue on this journey it will not only help build a stronger foundation but a better relationship with your heavenly Father.

    Salvation

According to the online dictionary salvation means deliverance from sin and its consequences, and is believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.

Salvation is a gift from God, the gift of eternal life that is made possible only through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Christ; the son of the living God. There is no other way to salvation, but through Jesus.

It is written, John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 3:4,5 Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

Through the natural birth, you are born of the flesh. To be born again, you are born of water and Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

For it is written as if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint – heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Salvation is to all that believe, confess, and receive. Understanding the concept of salvation is only the beginning. Understanding how to maintain your salvation, work out your salvation, and apply the word of God is the key. Being born again is a major event; salvation is a lifestyle.

    Salvation Prayer

Father God in the name of Jesus, I come before you right now. I am calling on the name of the Lord. It is written in Romans 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I confess with my mouth Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. Jesus died for me and he is alive today. I repent of my sins and surrender myself totally to you. Heavenly Father, I now confess Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
