Communication is what you make of it. You create, solve, copy, understand, agree, and disagree with words, expression, and body language. To be effective, you have to vary your approach based on the situation.

In this book you will find concise communication strategies to use in public speaking, business, and social situations. It is meant to give you enough tips to save you time without overwhelming you before you even begin your communication journey.

    Ignite Your Passion

    By Julie B. Hill

There is no greater thing you can do with your life and your work, than follow your passions in a way that serves the world and you.

    --Sir Richard Branson

Great writers, artists, speakers, athletes and top sales professionals have one thing in common: PASSION for what they do. The dictionary defines passion as having a keen enthusiasm or intense desire for something. When you're truly passionate about something, there is an energy and a drive that propel you to achieve beyond what you dreamed to be possible. I think of my dear friend, Annette, and her son, Kenny. As a young boy, he had the passion and talent for football. Today, with great commitment and dedication to the sport and much support from Mom, Kenny Stills is a professional football player with the New Orleans Saints. When we believe, have the passion, and link it with commitment, focus, and hard work, anything is possible.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you about your life? What are you passionate about? How can you make your passions come alive? Who inspires you? Why? Find out what you love and want to commit to. It will give you an energy and clarity you did not know you had. I gave a speech on Volunteering and Giving Back. The response from the audience was fantastic. People were so moved and inspired. I truly believe it's because I spoke about something I am so passionate about. Again, passion makes all the difference.

If you are preparing to give a speech, search for your true passions, and weave them into the presentation. It will give you a life force and energy that will help you touch the audience on another level. When people pick up on a person's passion, they become excited themselves. It's pretty amazing. Remember, great work in any area of life comes from people who love what they do! They have learned to Ignite their Passion.

Today is the day to Ignite your Passion. When we do what has meaning and purpose in our lives, we will inspire others to
