    Again, please! Tell me the story just one more time! Meredith begged. Batting her big brown eyes hiding behind a curtain of lashes as dark as her hair. She puckered her lips in a girlish pout, knowing her father could not resist.

    Meredith lay in her full size princess bed, complete with hanging curtains of sheer silk cascading from the ceiling, playing with the ruffles on her bedspread. Polka dots in various sizes and shades of pinks and purples had been painted along the top of each wall and matched the dots that adorned her bedding perfectly. Her Himalayan salt lamp sat on her white bookshelf in the corner, giving off a warm glow in her room.

    Meredith snuggled deeper under the covers, not even questioning if her father would tell her the story again. It was her favorite story and every night before going to bed, she would beg to hear it again, sometimes twice. When her mother was not sick or tired, she would tuck her in and tell the story in her soft dreamy voice. But Meredith preferred hearing the tale from her father. He would use different voices for the characters and some of his voices made her laugh; like when her father tried to talk like Grandpa Taylor, or Grandma Taylor, depending on the story he told. That was always funny and Meredith would laugh out loud each time.

    Rolling his eyes heavenward, Parker tried to hide his smile as he nodded his head at the tiny face scrunching beneath the covers.

    Once upon a time . . . there was the most beautiful woman in all the world. She had eyes the shade of delicious dark chocolate and hair to match. She was so pretty, all the men wanted to date her, but she always said no.
