    Preface

    This is a small book on the use of colored lighting in a meditative and magickal context. According to Chaos magick, our ability to work magick results from our internal state of mind. If we have the proper mind-state, magick can result. Therefore, when we perform rituals or engage in other magickal practices, it is our state of mind that is most important. The use of colored lighting can cause immediate changes to our mind-state and it is one of the greatest magickal tools I have found (although I did not invent the idea, of course!). In this book I will explain how to make your own painted and colorful lamps and how to use them in a wide variety of magickal contexts. They can be used as an aid to meditation. After reading this book you will have all the information you need to make your own affordable painted lamps, as well as how to use colored lighting in ritual and meditation. Some of the information is dealt with in my other books, but I think this particular method deserves to be expanded upon with its own, unique work. This book is the result.
