    Milly Mullan is a retiree from London with delightful childhood memories of holidays spent at the seaside town of Shanklin, located on the Isle of Wight. As an adult, she intended to vacation there often, but with a successful career as an interior designer to oversee, and hubby being top chef at a popular up-scale London restaurant, time to holiday was limited. Not until retired, did Milly return to Shanklin, by which time Harry had died from health complications and their daughter, Rosie, had grown up and married. But, Milly had one regret: losing touch with a young boy, Jonathan, she had met when only ten years of age during one of her Shanklin vacations. When retired, her hope to see him again absorbed her thoughts until, one day, she found a valuable silver fob watch buried in a flowerpot. Determined to find its owner, she began a search, which led to her stepping out of retirement to help local business owners redesign their stores. Soon after, her daughter Rosie unexpectedly showed up with marital problems. But, the question is: does Milly find her childhood love? And if so, is it Jonathan?     Over a period of twenty years, I have raised four grandchildren with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. My two memoirs: Two Decades Of Diapers, and, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome: The Teen Years, describe the challenges, hopes, and broken dreams I faced while struggling to maintain our family unit. I decided to share my story in the hope of supporting all individuals with FAS, their caregivers, support workers, and advocates, and to educate the public on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Born in Portsmouth, England, I immigrated to Canada in 1974 and currently live in Hamilton, Ontario. I also write fiction, including two series: Under The Shanklin Sky, and, I, Gossip. Writing fiction could not be more different from writing memoir. Memoir can be painful to pen, but writing fiction brings me joy. I hope reading my books will bring you joy too!
