About this series
No, not "another zombie book". I'm not your average zombie, like the ones that wander or swarm in in random zombie attacks around here. Or like in recent flics, like, "I'm a zombie, 'cuz I got makeup on and stuff, duh." It's everything in between but nothing I expected.
Hi, Alex Henry here - back for my third (and hopefully final) adventure. (previous two books: I'm Kind of a Zombie, and The Human Side of a Zombie.) The last book I kinda went human, but the cells of mine didn't like that. I involuntarily turned Zombie style again, and I'm in a bit of a mess now.
Different, I say? Yes. When I was bitten, I coincidentally went into another one of my epileptic fits, miraculously short-circuiting my brain so it was fully kept alive. So, I didn't fully die: I have a brain. And I'm the only one of my kind. Plus, when you can control the super-cells of a zombified body, you can do some cool stuff.
Huh - super cells? Yes again. They are superior cells to normal human cells.
Think about it: a virus that takes over an entire body, kills it, revives it, controls it. But it only works at a sub-animal (virus) intelligence level. Mix in a human mind and - yeah. You can do things.
So, the usual stuff has been going on: being chased around by private and government agencies to turn me into a lab rat for whatever, running, hiding, making mistakes, making a girlfriend, losing her (of course - dating a zombie???) socializing with the world and then hiding again...
By the way, don't be fooled. I've read zombie books, watched zombie movies, and played a few too many zombie games, and after all of that I can tell you honestly that I'm living anything but how a zombie should live. It's the height of irony in non-cliche. I also bring two unfortunate souls permanently into my world, because it was better then watching them die. So now it's three of us. One's crazy and one's dangerous. You figure out which is which. But I think they're awesome anyway.
Also, I learn that I actually have a plot - and you'll find out, too, what actually and truthfully happened. You know: how I came to be the me that I am, and where I go from there.
