We begin with the basics, which will help you make sense of how astronomy has helped to shape the world as we know it. After all, astronomy is not just simply about looking at the stars and writing down descriptions. It is as much a part of human history as religion is. In fact, the two have always crossed paths.
We also look at astronomy in modern times and learn about applications and software that a budding astronomer can use to strengthen his arsenal. There are plenty out there and having one or two should help keep you on the right track.

Chapter 1 – Astronomy Basics
Astronomy can be considered as both a theoretical and observational type of science, both blended to come up with the information needed to create simulations as well as a means of confirming their validity.
Simply defined, astronomy refers to the study of our universe. This includes studying the stars, planets, sun, moon, comets, the different gases that can be found in outer space, galaxies and different non-earthly bodies, all the phenomena that happen in that great unknown—down to the very dust that floats in it.
By studying the universe, we actually gain more information about our own existence as well as our own planet. Where did we come from? How did everything come to be? These are all important questions that astronomy can help in answering. Unlike other fields of science, however, astronomy would not allow
