Colin Garrow grew up in a former mining town in Northumberland. He has worked in a plethora of professions including: taxi driver, antiques dealer, drama facilitator, theatre director and fish processor, and has occasionally masqueraded as a pirate. All Colin's books are available as eBooks and most are also out in paperback, too. His short stories have appeared in several literary mags, including: SN Review, Flash Fiction Magazine, Word Bohemia, Every Day Fiction, The Grind, A3 Review, 1,000 Words, Inkapture and Scribble Magazine. ‘You know your trouble, Davey lad?’ Big Tom slid another pint across the counter. ‘You need to get laid.’
A collective chuckle ran around the Snug Bar as Davey picked up the glass. Taking a mouthful, he glanced over his shoulder at the mostly gloomy faces around the pool table. ‘I'm not the only one.’ A couple of old men nodded and winked.
‘You're the only one who never got laid,’ said Tom, initiating another round of laughter.
Davey's face flushed at the taunt, but he couldn't resist a smile. ‘I'll nip upstairs and see your Mary, then - sure she could do with a bit of excitement.’ He grinned. ‘After all, she's a lot younger than you...’
Tom leaned over the bar and made as if to hit him, prompting Davey to mime taking a right hook to the temple, his enthusiastic slow-motion recoil
