The book covers topics such as dwarfing genes in wheat; sugar-beet breeding; development of grain-protein crops; and the breeding programs of the International Potato Center. Also covered in the book are topics such as the development of bird resistance of soghum and maize; advances in the breeding of chickpeas; and breeding rice for disease resistance. The text is recommended for botanists and agriculturists who would like to know more about the advances in plant breeding and how it is improving crops.
