    Introduction

    How would you like to learn, how to inject any idea about  yourself into concepts, objects and people? In Neuro Linguistic Programming they call  it Anchoring. Countless ways exists how to inject or anchor yourself into a target's mind.  Fortunately, this is easy to do and you can do it anytime, anywhere with anyone!  Just identify the desired states, concepts, feelings—anything at all—and just like that, you can inject whatever you want into them!

    I originally wrote this book for people with strong backgrounds in  NLP and the different Persuasion disciplines. I rewrote the book to reduce technical terminologies, while retaining the power in the methods! In other words, you’ll gain expert level understanding of these techniques, without having to invest thousands of hours in the study of NLP. I  made this understandable and easily implementable by anyone, This is a stand alone device that can work for anyone regardless of their backgrounds in Persuasion, NLP, Hypnosis etc.

    The is not a book about Anchors per se, but a book on how to mess with and inject your influence on anything and everything!  How awesome would it be, for any stuff existing within, and outside in the universe is reduced to a tool to make them think of you?

    This tool  is a favorite tool in many areas of Persuasion, Advertising, Teaching, Religion  and even the darker areas of brainwashing paradigms. Anchoring techniques are presented with different labels, but fundamentally they’re talking about the same thing. As an example, Marketing or Advertising  is about associating positive concepts and emotions to the products, brand names, logos and company.

    In animal training, its associating treats to desired behaviors; punishment to the opposite. In Psychology it’s presented within the Conditioning framework. In every facet of life, Anchoring is literally everywhere!

    Anchors and Advertising

    Who hasn’t encountered advertising communications that are just a bunch of abstract feelings and ideas meant to associate an idea to the product! Fashion related products are notorious for this; they show a dramatic and seductive scene and immediately show the brand name! If you’re not familiar with the brand you wouldn’t know what the heck they were talking about, nor the purpose of the advertising. Do they just like spending millions of dollars, or were they meant for a purpose? We won’t necessarily process the information logically, but emotionally we can’t help attach the concept and emotion to the product!

    I come from the direct advertising side of things which is the opposite of Madison Avenue advertising (includes the vague styles above). Direct advertising is about logically convincing the audience specifically the benefits of the products, and trying to make the sale both emotionally and logically.

    The industry titans have deep pockets; they can afford to play the anchoring game. Many repetitions (may cost millions) just to associate specific imagery, concepts and feelings to a product. Direct mail advertising is to the point, none of that implicit, cryptic stuff. Besides, if you’re advertising Coca Cola, there isn’t really a lot of new information that will help sell it. Unless a new Coke variant is introduced, that can make the consumer healthier, taller, boost memory and burn fat? There’s really no point in approaching it from a Direct marketing style. All colas are the same, junk food poisons that give us good feelings (caffeine), tastes great with other junk crap, so sales are made on emotions rather than logic. No different from the Anchoring game played by associating the be rugged, manly and sexy like the Marlboro man—done through years of repetition and anchoring specific sets of ideas and feelings to a product. Who cares if you get Emphysema or cancer? You’re sexy and manly! (Incidentally at least 4 actors and models of that brand died of cancer and other lung diseases).

    Anchoring for Seduction

    People in the seduction community, especially the old schools involved a lot of anchoring work as propagated by Speed Seduction ™ --a method deeply influenced by NLP and hypnosis. Today,  you’ll get to see this overshadowed and unappreciated tool of persuasion, fully exploited in all its glory and power!  Having met hordes of men and women from different fields in Persuasion? I‘ve noticed this tool is one of the first to get undermined and forgotten for  the sexier, shinier, cooler sounding techniques. They are not necessarily better nor as consistent and newbie friendly as the poor old Anchors. Regarding the advertising example; anchoring does require a lot of repetition and may have a bit of time delay effect. People generally want instant gratification, and other tools provide that instead. Some hardcore NLP practitioners and Hypnotists still employ the tool a lot. God bless them!

    Anchoring is profound and  works great in permanently installing yourself in a subject’s mind. If you want the target to think of you unconsciously and automatically all the time? This will do it!  Hijacking the environment and everything that exists in his mind-- including memories, concepts, fantasies? Anchors reliably get the job done!

    Only a few tools exists, able to match its level of power and proven track record. Considering all its amazing properties, it’s still one of most underrated persuasion tools available. Many will regularly yet unintentionally use the technique, but they would often do too little--the minimum required dose is  insufficient to cause any worthwhile results.

    You can modify anything in a person's mind. Memories, fantasies, thoughts and ideas-- imagined or factual, can all be modified, reframed and injected to the targets. The more time you have to work a target-- the bigger and richer the coverage or installations possible.

    A target you only have a few minutes or an hour to work on,  won’t receive the same powerful effects from a target you’ve been injecting your programs  to for days, weeks even months!

    Here’s a practical example, which hopefully should drive this point across. If you've ever dated someone, for a reasonable amount of time-- that strong feelings have developed, including the predicted emotional attachments. Suddenly, you decide to break up with that person. What did you feel? Did you find it difficult  and painful to let go of the memories and habits you shared together?
