About this ebook
Seymour has always dreamed of being a great artist. But he's shy about showing his artwork and, being a snail, he's slow. Who will hire him?
When Seymour finds a job at the Speedy Arts Gallery, he is thrilled- until he finds himself sliming envelopes shut and delivering packages. Well, even great artists have to start somewhere. And who knows? Seymour's big break might be just around the corner!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So sweet! Simple book with cliffhanger chapters tells a great story without ever seeming condescending or shallow. It is a lovely book for young readers.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is an easy chapter book which will find love in a lot of readers hands. The text is short per page, and there is an illustration on almost every page. Seymour Snail is an artist, but he feels like he has to hide his talent from his friends. When his friends discover his talent, they are supportive and encourage him to do more and to try and get an art-related job. The job he is hired for is at an art gallery and there are some funny moments with Seymour trying to get a job…well set-up. This book is a quick read for me, but I think readers moving into chapter books will find it satisfying and funny.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5For third and fourth grade children. Seymour Snail is a good artist, but is shy about showing his art to friends. However, when they accidently see it they are very encouraging and help him find a job in the art world. At first the work is boring and the boss is mean, but his art is again accidently discovered and he lands a better job doing what he loves to do. Short and sweet.
