My very first of all
She used to be a showgirl
Which she didn’t like at all
And so her mummy sold her
When she was nearly 3
And I was oh so lucky
That she chose to live with me
Then seven years till Pippa came
At only 5 months old
Her first mum had returned her
Soon after she was sold
But with Molly now aged 10
And Pippa full of fun
We thought it only fair to her
To get another one
Why don’t you get a proper dog?
My husband said to me
So we settled on a standard
To keep her company
Amber’s our red beauty
But she grew to twice the size
Of the biggest of our minis
With long ears and doleful eyes
And though we had our number 3
With only one month gap
My dear sweet Lewis came along
To occupy my lap
I thought he was our last one
And my husband thought so too
