1 The Island
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1.27
Everything you need has been placed in you by the Creator
A certain man lived in a very beautiful island, in which many of us who live in cold countries, like where I live, we would call this island a real holiday paradise. Since childhood, this man learned to fish with his father, they went always together very early. Now being an adult of middle age with a family to provide for, with the same skills that he learned from his dad, he also teaches his children to fish. He has his own beliefs on fishing and life, he never actually heard about God neither of Christ. One day this man meets a few missionaries who came to this wonderful island. These missionaries came for a short time and they spoke very little the local language, and despite not having much time to talk to the fisherman they gave him a Bible in his local language. The missionaries had to continue evangelizing other islands and this man stayed with the few words of the missionaries in his mind. A certain day he gets up in the morning and starts to read the Bible from the first pages of Genesis 1. From the first words that he reads his mind starts to change regarding the concept he had about life.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth Genesis.1.1
The first words of the Bible are impressed him, first of all he starts to understand that there is a God and this God is the one who created the world in which he lives. The first thing that this man understands about God is that He is the creator. God creates! This man then reads the following verses that tell the story of the creation, how God takes a world that was without form and void and turns it into a beautiful world full of varieties and natural wealth, a world designed to exist by itself. Now he understands that God made the sea and the fish and did it in a way that there would always be fish available for the world. That God thought on the care of this man and his family, when he created the sea and fishes. Now whenever he was going to fish he would reflect in the words of the Scriptures about the sea and fish. He began to admire the God that created all things.
This man reads with enthusiasm the following beautiful verses and to his astonishment he faces with the history of his own creation;
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1.26
With amazement he ends the reading these verses, now for the first time he knows his origin, he was created by God. But not only that, he also now knows that he was made in the image and likeness of the Creator. This man understands now that he is made in the image of God, and the first thing he understands is that God is the creator by which he also has the ability to create.
As we have seen in this story, the first thing we see of God is that he is the God that creates, that takes and transformed a world that was in chaos and void into a beautiful world. Apart from this, we also see that we are created in his image and likeness, with the ability to create. This book emphasizes this capacity that we have to create. This is an ability that distinguishes us from the animal world, we can create many things, if we see the world today, we see a world full of human creation, things that were considered impossible some time ago but today is something normal because a person or a team of people chose to use this divine ability and began to create what was in his or her imagination. In this book we will be exploring this ability to create. We will claim back this gift of God which was given to us humans, hoping that we use it for the good.
I don't know how you got this book, if they gave it to you or you purchased it yourself, but I do know that it is a book that can help you in the process of creating your future. Let's go step by step exploring this capacity we have to go beyond what we see today and what we think. We will take a direction for our future, where everything is possible, where you can reach what many said it would be impossible, where the barriers fall. So being let’s leave behind the past and as this fisherman, let’s start a new period in our lives, a period of
