I know you either love Colleen Hoover or you hate her work. I am in the love category. She is one of my favorite authors. I have been trying to save some of her books to read for when I am feeling slumpy, so I had put off grabbing for November 9. When I heard she had a new book coming out I was excited, not only for the new book but to be able to grab one of my unread books.I loved the beginning and how our characters meet in the restaurant. I also loved how this went beyond just looks and how Ben sees the true beauty in Fallon. I was smiling the whole the time I was reading this book…up until the plot twists. Then I was reading with my jaw dropped, and then came some tears. I loved this! This was another amazing read from Colleen Hoover and I just need more!

It's 3:00AM and I need to go to bed but I just couldn't put this book down. I went through so many different emotions I don't know if I'll be able to sleep. Colleen Hoover put her readers through the ringer.
It was a beautiful story and COHO knows how to tell a good story. I'm already ordering the next one.

November 9by Colleen HooverAudio narrated by Zachary Webber & Angela GoethalsThe synopsis provided describes this well enough. My thoughts are that although parts of this book dragged a bit, Colleen Hoover once again created characters that I fell for and a unique and interesting story in itself with some interesting twists that hurt my heart. I always get stressed out when there is so much angst involved, but this was cleverly done and well worth the anxiety. I must also say that I don't remember 18-year-old boys being this intelligent, supportive, or warm when I was that age. ;)

I am so enjoying slowly going thru Colleen Hoover's collection. It'll be difficult when I have read them all and will have to wait for her new books to come out. This one was just as marvelous as the others I have read. Colleen just knows how to make amazing characters that draw you in and make you stay up WAY past your bedtime to finish a book. Ben and Fallon's story was heartbreaking which was to be expected but their connection just made it all worth it. I fell for Ben immediately and was so upset to read his background near the end. I love Fallon's character growth as well. The only thing I felt that was a little off for a Colleen Hoover book was the ending. It didn't go quite into as much detail I feel as the other books I've read. Still an incredible 5 star book. Highly recommend!!

When I read the preview for this, I'd just finished Elin Hilderbrand's 28 Summers and felt this might just be the same plot and so I've waited quite some time to pick it up. Honestly, I got the audiobook on sale and thus, started it.

It was definitely a Colleen Hoover book - never knowing exactly what to expect. It wasn't my favorite book she's written, but it was a sweet, heartfelt romance. I don't think it's realistic that people fall in love at first sight, but these 2 do. There is a bond or a connection...

The ending really had me hooked. I love that about Colleen's books... it might just be a simple romance, but you can never expect the ending!

The narrators did a fabulous job - the male narrator being one of my favorites!

I enjoyed the storytelling. I did get wrapped up in it, and I was wowed by the twist. I didn't understand some of the characters behaviors. I guess I really liked the story, but didn't care for the characters, if that makes sense.

That was the second in two CoHo books where I was loving the angst, delicious angst sprinkled with humor and some good lines...and a charming delightful hero.
Then silly predictable plot twist (and I'm not sure which was written first but smacks of a Penelope Ward book I read I think) lead me straight into the conclusion:

I'm too fucking old for this shit.

But I'll probably for sure read another.

I absolutely adored this book. Ben is the best type of male romance character and Fallon a force to be reckoned with.
The story is so unique and well written. The idea of it is so clever, I love that the author hasn’t relied on the usual text/email to create an in this era romance. Good old fashioned book writing and I loved every minute. I started last night and it’s now 3.45 am and I’ve just finished it. 5 stars from me ❤️

I am not a romance novel person; I don't enjoy reading something based entirely on a relationship That being said, this book was FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! I felt emotionally connected with both Fallon and Ben and the character development as the story progressed was great. Nothing felt corny or forced at any point. I usually read YA, but this book did not feel far off from it.

Fallon is an ex-actor who was in a fire and has burn scars on the left side of her body from her head to her legs. She meets Ben on November 9 before she moves from California to New York. Ben has an extremely dark secret and immediately is interested in Fallon, who returns the feelings. What starts as being fake girlfriend and boyfriend leads to the two of them agreeing to only meet once a year on November 9, with no interaction otherwise, for the next five years. After that, they will decide to continue in a real relationship or let theirs fizzle out. The book goes through both character's perspectives and through each year's date. As both of their lives take drastic turns, they find ways to still meet each other on November 9 and reveal their feelings for each other. They hurt each other's feelings, forgive each other, and mend each other as normal relationships go. I loved going through the relationship with them.

Ben is a writer. And he is writing a novel based on his and Fallon's relationship. About halfway through the book, Fallon is allowed to read Ben's manuscript and it creates a drastic change on her feelings as well as the reader's, but allows the reader to see a much deeper part of Ben as well as explains his secret and how he came to "run in" to Fallon on the day that they met. There is much more than fate involved.

What is really fun about the book is that Fallon loves romance novels, so she is frequently commenting on what would be corny or what wouldn't work if their story was a book, so nothing ever feels like your typical romance novel. I'll definitely be reading more Colleen Hoover after this. :)

I think that the author is amazing, no doubt of that, I like most of her books. But this story is just too twisted and not believable. It has great parts and then it just turns into something utterly silly to end pretty poorly IMHO

I couldn’t put this book down…. I went through all emotions with characters in the story. A must read for anyone who enjoys a love story with a plot twist.
