      Cancer is the fourth sign of the Zodiac. It follows Gemini in the Zodiacal line-up.

      The arrival of the Sun into Cancer each year marks the Summer Solstice, the first day of summer. From that point until the Autumnal Equinox in September, the intervals of daylight start getting shorter ... until they balance at the point where the Sun moves into Libra.

      As a rule, the range of Cancer covers the time from June 22nd until July 22nd.
