Amderestan Military Chief of Staff Commander Brian Jacobs spoke up first. Now that hostilities have concluded with STPLA, what do we do with those who provided support to STPLA during the war?

President Brians quietly though for a moment before he responded. Well, for the time being, they should remain in custody.

Meanwhile on Taronia, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and her twin brother Lieutenant Timothy Forrester made their way to Amderestan Military Base Charles Lencon. They presented their military ID's to the officer on guard duty and made their way to Taronia Region Amderestan Military Field Command Headqaurters.

Since the conflict against the STPLA was now over, the measures taken by the 4th Republic in the Taronia Region, Tourist Region, Swearia Region and Parisia Region would be lifted. Amderestan Military Infantry Assault Units would return to their barracks as civilian law enforcement personnel resumed their duties.

Well sis, we've seen enough combat to last a lifetime. Lieutenant Timothy Forrester told his twin sister as they climbed up the long wide steps in front of TRAMFCH's main entrance and proceeded inside.

Andrea and Timothy exchanged salutes with various Amderestan Military officers and enlisted personnel assigned to Taronia Region Amderestan Military Field Command Headqaurters as they proceeded down various corridors to an elevator. Inside the elevator, Andrea selected the button labeled 15 which would take them fourteen floors up.

However, the elevator stopped on the twelveth floor for a moment as two other Amderestan Military officers who had a Captain rank insignia on their collars entered the elevator.

Morning, sirs. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester told the two captains as she and Timothy both gave a salute. Where are you headed, sirs?

Tenth floor, Lieutenant. One of the Captains responded. In his right hand, he held a briefcase which had several datapads inside. One of which was partially visible.

Timothy went over to the elevator controls and selected the button labeled 10 which took the elevator car up to the tenth floor. The doors opened and the two Captains exited which left Andrea and Timothy in the elevator by themselves. Andrea pressed the fifteen button again and the elevator resumed its ascent up to the fifteenth floor.

After the elevator stopped and the doors slid open, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester who wore their duty uniforms made their way through various corridors and entered a large conference room.

Morning, sirs. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester told Commander Jonathan Lencon and her great-grandfather Commander Timothy Forrester as she and Timothy both gave salutes.

You two have been reading up on the intelligence reports being sent out of the Alcasian Galaxy concerning the increased presence of Eastern Group Alliance Military Forces in Alcasian Republic space? Commander Jonathan Lencon inquired of Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester.

We have been, sir. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester responded. Permission to speak freely, sir. Off the record, I might add

Permission granted, Lieutenant. Commander Jonathan Lencon responded to Lieutenant Andrea Forrester. Jonathan turned his attention to the other Amderestan Military officers and enlisted personnel in the room. Everyone clear the room, with the exception of Commander and Lieutenants Forrester.

After the other Amderestan Military officers and enlisted exited the room, Andrea continued. Sir, you know the AUO has dossiers on you, Tenlon, Haleson, my aunt. She turned towards Commander Timothy Forrester. And your son. I'm convinced the higher-ups in the Amdronian Unification Organization were involved in his murder.

Lieutenant, you're asking to go off the reservation aren't you? Commander Timothy Forrester inquired of Andrea who nodded her head in answer to his question. You really want to risk your military careers for a personnel vendetta?

There might still be a chance that the Senate Defense Committee might investigate Commander Lencon's order regarding the STPLA prisoners of war whom I suggested should be killed. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester responded.

I wouldn't put it pass them. Commander Timothy Forrester told his great-niece.

On Crescent, President Brians prepared to address the trillions of Amderestans, Taronians, Tourists, Tithians, Swearians, Alazenians, and Parisians in the Amderesta Galaxy via the videoscreen camera.

Mr. President, you'll be live in five. The ARNN Tech said to President Brians as an audio transceiver was attached to his collar and connected wirelessly to a receiver attached to his belt. President Brians took this time to go over his notes and took a breath as the ARNN cameraman activated his broadcast feed.

Fellow citizens, after eleven years of conflict against STPLA, this conflict is now at an end. The state of martial law in effect in the Taronia Region, Tourist Region, Swearia Region and Parisia Region will be lifted and all Amderestan Military Infantry Assault Units currently deployed in the major cities will return to their perspective planetary bases. President Brians said. "However, those who gave aid and support to STPLA will continue to be detained along with the remaining STPLA forces captured at the end of hostilities.

Our focus here in the Amderesta Galaxy now is to assist those who have lost homes and businesses during the conflict. Amdronian Group Alliance Relief Agency personnel in coordination with Amderestan Military Engineering Corps personnel have begun construction of temporary housing in large numbers of cities.

Meanwhile on Alcasia, Brigadier General Tom Widan sat in his apartment and watched President Brian's address on the videoscreen which was tuned to ARNN Crescent. Since the civil war against STPLA was at an end, there was a good chance more Amderestan Military Combat Assault Groups would be deployed to bolster the Combat Assistance Force inside Alcasian Republic controlled area of the Alcasian Galaxy.

Onboard the Anacoda, Colonel Mark Kellson, Lieutenant Colonel Jack Brayans, Captain Thomas Winter, Captain Timothy Keers, and several hundred Alcasian Military officers and enlisted exited the mess hall as klaxon's sounded throughout the Alcasia-class starship. Colonel Mark Kellson and Lieutenant Colonel Brayans proceeded to the bridge and took their stations.

At the bridge scanner control console, the second watch bridge scanner officer, Lieutenant Tessans watched the scanner display which showed a representation of the nearby Allisans-Reers System and noticed three new contacts exit from a wormhole junction hub.

Sir, I just picked up three contacts at bearing two-seven-niner, two-niner-six, and two-eight-zero. Lieutenant Tessans said. Range two million kilometers and closing. The IFF system onboard the Anacoda detected Sarian Military transponder signals being sent out from the approaching vessels and designated them as enemy targets.

Adjust our heading to course two-eight-zero, full sublight speed, and standby to launch weapons. Colonel Mark Kellson said to Lieutenant Thomas who sat at weapon control and Lieutenant Calsans who currently sat at the flight control console.

In Anacoda's armory, Armory officers and enlisted personnel loaded a compliment of missiles and torpedoes into the forward missile and torpedeo launchers in wait for attack orders from Colonel Kellson.

On the bridge, Lieutenant Calsans adjusted Anacoda's heading from bearing 090 to bearing 280 and increased speed to full sublight. Lieutenant Thomas activated the weapon's grid which powered up the laser turrets and the forward missile and torpedeo launchers.

Standing by to fire weapons, sir. Lieutenant Thomas said to Colonel Kellson as he kept an eye on the targeting display on the weapon console.

At scanner control, Lieutenant Tessans watched the scanner display as the three Omega-class Sarian Military starships were now 500,000 kilometers from the Anacoda. Lieutenant Thomas obtained a weapon's lock on the center destroyer and prepared to launch missiles and torpedoes.

Fire at will, Lieutenant. Colonel Mark Kellson told Lieutenant Thomas who fired several torpedoes at the Sarian Military destroyer in the center. The torpedoes impacted the bow section of the Sarian Military destroyer and exploded which severely damaged the docking bays on level three and four along with the weapon's grid.

Several light-years away from the Anacoda, an Amdronian Group Alliance Military Combat Assistance Force Combat Assault Division which consisted of Chorane Military, Branisian Military, Rylon-Tylonian Military and Dancalian Military Williamson-class and Abrams-class starships, crusiers, and destroyers launched an assault against several hundred Alcasian Federal Military bases in the Gerrsans Sectors.

The Gerrsans Sectors which contained three thousand planetary systems had exchanged hands between the Alcasian Federation and Alcasian Republic over the previous five months. Alcasian Military Intelligence hoped that the assistance from the Amdronian Group Alliance Military Forces would turn the Alcasian Civil War in favor of the Alcasian Republic.

Back in the Amderesta Galaxy, Commander Jonathan Lencon sat in his office on the fifteenth floor of Taronia Region Amderestan Military Field Command Headqaurters and he went over the large amounts of intelligence. The Video-Audio Communication Screen chimed a moment later which mentioned an incoming message from Commander Jacobs.

After Jonathan activated the transmission, Commander Brian Jacobs image which showed him seated at his desk appeared on the 10 inch screen. Commander, you might need to testify at the Senate as part of a hearing into how combat operations were conducted against STPLA Forces.

With all due respect, sir. Commander Jonathan Lencon responded. Those politicians haven't a clue in how to conduct and win a war.

Commander Brian Jacobs agreed with Jonathan's comment about the Amderestan Senate which hadn't seen any kind of combat in a few decades. Jonathan wanted to mention the request that Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester had made of him a few days earlier, but decided against it.

At the officer's club, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and her twin brother Lieutenant Timothy Forrester who both wore civilian clothes sat at the bar with a couple of drinks.

Heard anything from Mark or Lucy lately? Timothy asked his twin sister who drank from a tall glass filled with Ranchanian Ale.

No, I haven't Tim. Andrea responded to her twin brother's inquiry as she finished her glass of Ranchanian Ale.

Well, sis. Lieutenant Timothy Forrester responded. Heard some chatter about a couple of Parisians being loaded onto an unmarked transport and were taken somewhere.

You think they are talking about Mark and Lucy? Lieutenant Andrea Forrester inquired of her twin brother who had also finished his drink as well.

Timothy nodded his head in answer to his sister's question. Mostly likely Lucy Sennins and her twin brother Mark Sennins were being held by Sarian Federal Military Forces like their father had been. That's if they were even still alive.

About our search we should start here on Taronia first. Lieutenant Timothy Forrester told his sister who gave him a look.

Tim, the person involved isn't here on Taronia. We should go to Crescent and persuade one of the AUO officials to reveal who had Grandpa Jack killed. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester responded.

At the mention of the AUO, several people turned their attention to Andrea and Timothy's discussion at the bar. Somewhat annoyed, Andrea spun around to face the other officers seated in the bar and she proceeded to tell them off.

Several minutes later, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester exited the officer's club and made their way to the base's motor pool. At the motor pool which had a number of speeders positioned near several matience buildings, Andrea and Timothy hopped in a speeder activated the flight controls and made their way to the main gate of Amderestan Military Base Charles Lencon.

After Andrea and Timothy showed their military ID cards to the officer on guard duty, they were cleared to leave the base, Andrea who sat at the flight controls pulled up a holographic map of Taronia City and its suburbs and looked for a civilian shuttle rental that somehow managed to survive the eleven year civil war against STPLA.

Here's one. Lieutenant Timothy Forrester pointed out to his sister. Landing Platform Alpha Sierra 3434321 seems to have an intact shuttle rental dealer.

Tim, we are going off the reservation if you know what I mean. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester commented. Commander Lencon is disavowing what we are getting involved in. Doesn't that tell you something about the nature of our plan?

All right, are you suggesting we book passage on a passenger transport bound for Crescent? Timothy asked his sister as she turned the speeder onto a side street which ran through one of Taronia City's residential areas. A number of apartment buildings which had received damage in the intense urban fighting had a large groups of people there to help repair the damage.

Even though Commander Lerras had defected from the Swearia Tourist Parisia Liberation Army, there was a possibility that he might be tried at an Amdronian Group Alliance Tribunal for his role in STPLA's invasion of the Pairisian Republic. For the time being, he decided to stick around Taronia City.

After several minutes, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester parked the speeder outside of the Taronia City Landing Platform's main terminal building which had a speeder rental dealership next to it.

Inside the Terminal building, Andrea and Timothy made their way through the crowd of people also at the terminal and headed towards one of the ticket counters. The ceiling mounted Computer Access Terminal Screen displayed a list of available incoming and outgoing flights, their destinations and status.

Transport Alpha 5655433 to Reyen is now boarding. An announcer said over the public address system.

Andrea are there any transports going directly to Crescent? Lieutenant Timothy Forrester asked his sister who studied the flight information on the screen.

Tim, I'm looking all right. Andrea commented in a frustrated tone. Geez, hold your horses. She looked over the listed flight information and found a transport bound for Crescent. Here we are. Transport Sierra Niner-Niner-Eight-Six-Four is scheduled to depart for Crescent at 1600 hours.

Andrea Forrester and Timothy Forrester made their way to a ticket both and waited in line as others got their tickets for passage on various transports. After what seemed like forever, the Forrester twins stepped up to the ticket booth.

Good afternoon, two tickets for Transport S99864. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester said to the Taronian Woman who was a few years older than her and Timothy.

That would be three hundred credits each. The Taronian Woman told Andrea and Timothy.

Look, my twin brother and I are active duty Amderestan Military officers. There is no damned way we're paying that much for transport tickets. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester responded. Here's our military ID cards. Andrea removed her Amderestan Military ID card which showed her active duty status as did Timothy and they showed them to the ticket vendor.

I understand your frustration, Lieutenant. The Ticket Vendor responded as she pulled up information on Transport S99864 and noticed several empty seats near the rear of the transport. I can get the two of you tickets for 150 credits each.

After Andrea gave the ticket vendor three hundred Amderestan Credits for herself and her twin brother Timothy, they made their way through the security check along with other passengers who were screened for any explosive devices or other types of weapons. Since Andrea Forrester and Timothy Forrester were currently serving in the military, they were allowed to bring their blaster pistols onboard passenger transports.

Passenger Transport S99864 to Crescent is now boarding at Gate Episilon. The same announcer said over the public address system.

Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester boarded the passenger section of Transport Sierra 99864 and found a couple of seats in the back. After all of the passengers had boarded, the pilot activated the ascent thrusters and piloted the transport down the runway and conducted a vertical take-off.

Chapter 2

Several hours later onboard Passenger Transport Sierra 99864, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester sat next to her twin brother Lieutenant Timothy Forrester who had his Computer Access Terminal Screen tuned to ARNN Taronia. The screen showed ARNN Taronia's logo in the lower right corner along with a ticker that showed news headlines.

Good evening, glad you are joining us here on ARNN Taronia. ARNN Anchor Andrew Talisan said. "Things here on Taronia and other planets in the Taronia Region are slowly getting back to normal after eleven years of conflict. Our correspondents were there to give their perspective on events.

"Here in Taronia City, the Amdronian Group Alliance Relief Agency has begun work on repairing and rebuilding buildings damaged or destroyed, and Amderestan Military Infantry Assault Units have been ordered to return to their barracks. Taronia City Police officers will return to their law enforcement duties over the weeks and months ahead.

According to a statement from Taronia Region Amderestan Military Field Command Headqaurters, Commander Lencon is expected to testify at a Senate Hearing concerning the STPLA Conflict.

Those politicians haven't had to spend the last several years in a damned war zone. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester commented as she watched the ARNN Taronia broadcast on her brother's CATS.

Damn straight, Miss. A Taronian seated behind Andrea said aloud which made her look behind her.

Actually it's Lieutenant. Andrea told the Taronian man who shook her hand. She noticed the man had a holo-recorder on the seat next to him. Judging by that holo-recorder, I'd say you're a news reporter. Am I right?

Yes, you are Lieutenant. The Taronian News reporter answered. I'm covering the Senate Hearings on Crescent for Taronia City News. Well, I'd wager you and your brother right are Intel officers.

Andrea declined to answer the reporter's question and sat back in her seat and accessed the Taronia Information Service which brought up a home page with links to various sites and a search box in the center of the screen.

So what did that reporter want, sis? Lieutenant Timothy Forrester asked in his native Taronian Accent.

Just making small talk, bro. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester told her brother. He is covering the Senate Hearings for Taronia City News.

Commander Lencon, has he been summoned to testify at the hearings yet? Timothy asked his twin sister as she pulled up the Taronia City News site and read several articles.

Haven't heard anything recently. Andrea responded. She proceeded to look around the passenger section of Transport Sierra 99864 at the other passengers. Three rows in front of the on the left side, Andrea noticed a male Taronian in his 30's or 40's seated with a couple of kids who appeared to be around nine or ten years old. Two rows behind them, Andrea noticed a person in his fifties dressed in a suit who had a wireless earpiece in his right ear.

See that guy with the earpiece, Tim? Andrea said in a low voice.

What about him, sis? Lieutenant Timothy Forrester asked he looked out of his side vision at the brown haired Amderestan man. He could be just a businessman.

Over on Crescent, Senator Nellis who currently represented the Northwest Amderesta Region District and sat on the Senate Intelligence and Defense Committee met with several other Senators also on those committees.

Now that the conflict against STPLA-NAF has concluded we should look into the methods taken by Commander Lencon against STPLA forces in the Taronia Region. Senator Nellis told the others.

Senator Kevin Termans who represented the Taronia Capital District in the Amderestan Senate sat a few chairs down from Senator Nellis chimed in. Nellis, my wife and children are a lot safer now because of Commander Lencon's tactics used against the STPLA-NAF forces.

I'm sure that is the case. Senator Nellis responded. However, the issue at hand is this: Commander Lencon gave orders for all STPLA Prisoners of War to be executed while they were detained by military forces. I strongly think we should summon Commander Lencon here and get answers.

A number of Senators who represented several Administrative Districts in the Northwest Alazenia Region District and Northeast Alazenia Region District agreed that Commander Jonathan Lencon should be a focus of a Senate Hearing.

In the Executive Building, President Brians sat in his office and read over the intelligence from Amderestan Military Chief of Staff Commander Jacobs which concerned the withdrawal of Amderestan Military Occupation Forces from the Ninth Lisalian District and Tenth Lisalian District.

You really think we should withdrawal our forces from the Lisalian Galaxy or the Kanalsian Galaxy, Mr. President? President Brian's Chief of Staff inquired as he entered the office and the door slid close behind him.

Right now, half of the Lisalian Galaxy is still occupied by the Alnalkian Military. President Brians responded. Besides, the Lisalian Federation is in no condition to launch an armed attack against the Analkian or our forces stationed in the Analkian Galaxy.

President Brians' Chief of Staff noticed a concerned expression on his face and guessed it had something to do with the Senate Hearing about Commander Jonathan Lencon.

Over the next three days, the Amderestan Senate Intelligence and Defense Committee chaired by Senator Nellis made preparations for the Senate Hearing on Operation Northern Assault Taronia.

On Transport Sierra 99864, the pilot on the bridge proceeded to address the passengers onboard. Attention passengers, we have entered the Central Systems and will be approaching Crescent.

Near the rear of the passenger section, Lieutenant Andrea Forrester and Lieutenant Timothy Forrester started to discuss the next phase once they landed on Crescent.

Those damn jerks are going to learn not to mess with us, bro. Andrea told her twin brother who looked up from his datapad.

And so it begins. Lieutenant Timothy Forrester responded to his twin sister seated beside him.

On his datapad, Andrea noticed an article which had a headline that read: Commander Lencon summoned for Senate Hearing. Below that was the article itself which read:

Jonathan Lencon, currently serving as the Taronia Region Amderestan Military Field Commander is expected to begin his testimony at the Senate Intelligence And Defense Committee today in relation to Operation Northern Assault Taronia. Senator Nellis who is currently chairman of the committee in an interview yesterday said, 'There are questions that need answers, and I intend to get those answers.'

The last time Commander Lencon appeared before the Senate Intelligence And Defense Committee was before the Yenturian Genocide took place. Lieutenant Andrea Forrester commented to Lieutenant Timothy Forrester who turned towards his sister.

In an Amderestan Military Command Shuttle, Commander Jonathan Lencon watched Crescent grow larger in the bow plasma window as he activated the Video Audio Communication Screen's audio transceiver.

Crescent Approach, this is Amderestan Military Command Shuttle Alpha Niner-Niner-Eight-Four requesting clearance for atmospheric entry, over. Commander Jonathan Lencon said into the audio transceiver.

A moment later, a Traffic Controller came over the VACS' audio receiver. Alpha Niner-Niner-Eight-Four, you are cleared for orbital entry. Switch over to Crescent Traffic Control on VACS frequency Alpha Sierra Niner-Niner-Six.

Copy that, Crescent Approach switching over to Crescent Traffic Control. Commander Jonathan Lencon responded as he punched in the Video Audio Communication Screen frequency Alpha Sierra 9984 and opened a transmission to Crescent Traffic Control.

Crescent Traffic Control, this is Amderestan Military Command Shuttle Alpha Niner-Niner-Eight-Four, requesting clearance for atmospheric entry, over. Commander Jonathan Lencon said into the Video Audio Communication Screen's audio transceiver.

In Crescent Traffic Control's Main Scanner Installation, one of the traffic controllers noticed a passenger transport about to intersect the flight path of Jonathan's shuttle Amderestan Military Command Shuttle Alpha Niner-Niner-Eight-Four, this Crescent Traffic Control. The Controller said into the VACS transceiver. Passenger Transport Sierra Niner-Niner-Eight-Six-Four is 10,000 kilometers and closing on your position at bearing two-seven-eight, acknowledge them in sight.

On the bridge of Amderestan Military Command Shuttle 9984, Commander Jonathan Lencon brought the real-time scanner data on the Computer Access Terminal Screen and noticed the passenger transport was almost on top of him.

Crescent Traffic Control, have Passenger Transport Sierra Niner-Niner-Eight-Four in sight. Commander Jonathan Lencon responded into the VACS transceiver.

On the bridge of Passenger Transport Sierra 99846, the pilot who had also tuned the onboard Video Audio Communication Screen to Crescent Traffic Control on Alpha Sierra Niner-Niner-Six received a transmission from the same traffic controller.

Sierra Niner-Niner-Eight-Four, Amderestan Military Command Shuttle Alpha Niner-Niner-Four is 7,000 kilometers away at bearing two-nine-zero, report them in sight.

Copy Crescent Traffic Control, have Alpha-Nine-Nine-Eight-Four in sight. The Pilot of Passenger Transport Sierra 99864 responded.

Sierra Nine-Nine-Eight-Six-Four, adjust your heading to bearing two-nine-zero. The Traffic Controller said over the Video Audio Communication Screen.

After a few minutes
