    Preface

It is my desire to make known God’s Word and Will, so that people will have the opportunity to be saved, come to full knowledge of the truth, and live in accordance with God’s intention. God’s Word was and is and will continue to be Truth. It is the Word of Life.

This book includes information about the following:

o The Lord Jesus Christ reveals prophecy

    o Times of tribulation

o God’s wrath implemented via the Christ

    o Resurrection

o The new Jerusalem with God and the Christ

I have studied and continue to study the Greek papyri and texts of the Bible extensively, and it is from these that I make my Word Translation and Study to provide this in-depth study aid.

The words that the only true God spoke are the best words to communicate His thoughts. It is because of mankind’s interference, mistranslations, etc, of what God spoke and/or what was written down, and because mankind has removed himself in his thinking so far away from God’s thoughts and words, that I endeavor to help all of us come-back to the integrity and truth of what God says - His Word - His thoughts - His will.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss or comment on this Word Translation and Study via the Contact link on https://www.TrueBibleStudy.com.

Thanks to God for His love and grace.

    Relevant Notes

Unless otherwise stated, all scriptures are quoted from the following:

o The True Bible Study Word Translation (TBS) is translated from the Greek Papyri and Texts by Maura K. Hill.

The various resources and reference materials are listed at https://www.truebiblestudy.com/bible-materials.

In the TBS Word Translation and Study:

o Words in a parenthesis () and italicized within a scripture verse are words inserted to help our English understanding of those words which are translated from Greek words.

o Words in a parenthesis () in the study of the scripture verse are words of explanation regarding the words prior to the parenthesis.

o Additional explanatory insertions within a scripture verse are enclosed in square brackets [] and italicized.

o Additional explanatory notes in the study of a scripture verse are enclosed in square brackets [] and are usually in relation to the Greek or Hebrew texts.

o A slash in the study of a scripture verse, such as: him/her, indicates an alternative word depending on the context.

o A dash, such as: go there – to Jerusalem, indicates that a certain word or phrase is particularly important or deserving of extra emphasis.

o Hyphenated words, such as: used-to-go, indicates that there is only one corresponding word in the Greek text.

o Non-English words are printed with English letters.

o I use an initial capital letter for all occurrences of the words Lord and Master when referring to either God or the Lord Jesus Christ due to my respect for them, therefore the reader will need to carefully consider the context of each particular usage to understand to whom that usage refers.

o Where the word spirit refers to God, I use an initial capital or upper-case S - Spirit. But when the word spirit refers to the gift of holy spirit, etc, I use a small or lower-case s - spirit.

o Underlined text is used for the English word but when translated from the Greek word alla to show that it implies a strong contrast to that-which has just previously been stated, and/or to strengthen a command.

o Underlined text is used for the singular form of the word you to distinguish it from the plural form of the word you which is not underlined.

o Underlined text is also used for emphasis.

o In order to communicate the fullness of the emphasis when the Greek definite article is repeated both with the noun and its adjective - for example: I Corinthians 15:4 the Greek is te hemera te trite, which literally means the day the third - I translate it as "the day, the third (day)."

o Verbs in the imperfect tense are translated with the words used-to and then the meaning of the verb.

o For example: used-to teach indicates that the one teaching spent time teaching, his action of teaching continued during a past time that is now finished for some reason, not that it was a quick one-time occurrence. The one teaching taught others taking time to teach, and he may have repeated his teaching at different times and in different ways. This tense is also used to historically describe past events relating what happened.

o Verbs in the perfect tense are translated from Greek with a superscript number 2 immediately following the verb - for example: it was written². This tense indicates an action done during a past time and which has a present continuing result, meaning it is still the same at the time the verb was spoken or written. Therefore, this example could be translated as: it was written and continues written.

o The noun love¹ or the verb to love¹ comes from the Greek word agape which is God’s kind of love.

When the Biblical writers wrote, there were no punctuation marks, no chapter or verse divisions indicated, etc, as we see them today in many of our English Bible translations and versions. Therefore we must read the whole context of each particular passage of Scripture for thought-content to more clearly understand the truth of what has been written.

Also, the original language was not English, and therefore when I may write that the writer said or wrote such and such, please understand that the writer actually spoke and wrote in the original language the equivalent to that-which I state in the English language to the best of my knowledge.

I recommend that while reading this book, you also have your usual Bible and Biblical study materials open, so as to compare verses and gain greater understanding of the truth of God’s Word.

Introduction to the Revelation of Jesus Christ

The writing (book) of the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John was written by John, who was one of Jesus’ learning-disciples. In Galatians 2:9, Paul wrote that John (along with James and Peter) was considered to be a pillar within the church and a minister to the holy-people (Christians) with a Judean/circumcision background.

Some scholars indicate that this writing may have been written about 95-96 A.D.

As we read, we will clearly see that the Lord Jesus Christ revealed this prophetic information to John so that...

o not only the holy-people living during this age

o but also the people living during the next age

...will be able to read and understand what the Lord Jesus Christ is doing now and what he will do in the future with reference to the realm of mankind and the spirit realm.

The writing of the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John again reveals the full scope of redemption and salvation that is written in the stars and the constellations; refer to the article: Stars and Constellations (https://www.truebiblestudy.com/bible-materials).

This writing includes prophecy regarding effects or events occurring during the past, the present, and the future, in heaven and on earth.

Also, the following is a basic outline of where the effects or events take place from John’s viewpoint as he receives the revelation:

    o 1:1-3 - Introduction

    o 1:4 - chapter 3 - Present Earth

    o chapters 4 and 5 - Heaven

    o 6:1 - 7:8 - Earth

    o 7:9 - 8:6 - Heaven

    o 8:7 - 11:14 - Earth

    o 11:15-19(a) - Heaven

    o 11:19(b) - Earth

    o 12:1-12 - Heaven

    o 12:13 - 13:18 - Earth

    o 14:1-5 - Heaven

    o 14:6-20 - Earth

    o 15:1-8 - Heaven

    o 16:1 - 18:24 - Earth

    o 19:1-16 - Heaven

    o 19:17 - 20:15 - Earth

    o 21:1 - 22:5 - New Heaven and New Earth

    o 22:6-21 - Conclusion

    Chapter 1

¹:¹Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him to point-out to His slaves, which-things are necessary to come-to-pass in quickness, and he signified having apostled by means of his angel to his slave John, .2who witnessed the word of God and the witness of Jesus Christ as-many-things-as he saw.

.3Happy (is) the (person) reading and the (people) hearing the words of the prophecy and keeping the-things having been written² in it, for the time (is) near.

.4John - to the seven churches, the (churches) in Asia; grace to you and peace from the (One) being and the (One Who) used-to-be and the (One) coming, and from the seven spirits which (are) before His throne, .5and from Jesus Christ the witness, the believer, the firstborn of dead-people, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To the (one) loving¹ us and having loosened us from our sins in his blood - .6and he made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father - to him (are) the glory and the strongness into the ages, with-certainty.

.7Look!, he comes with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and the-people-who stabbed him, and all the tribes of the earth will lament on him - yes, with certainty. .8I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, the (One) being and the (One Who) used-to-be and the (One) coming - the All-Strong-One.

.9I John, your brother and sharer-in-common-together in the pressure and kingdom and patient-endurance in Jesus, became in the island, the (island) being called: Patmos, because-of the word of God and the witness of Jesus.

.10I became in spirit in the Lordly day and heard behind me a great sound as of a trumpet .11saying, That-which you observe you must write into a book and you must send to the seven churches - into Ephesus, and into Smyrna, and into Pergamos, and into Thyatira, and into Sardis, and into Philadelphia, and into Laodicea.

.12And I turned-back to observe the sound, the-one-which used-to utter-forth with me; and having turned-back I saw seven golden lamp-stands, .13and in (the) midst of the lamp-stands (there was one) like a son of man having clothed-himself-with² a long-robe and having girded² a golden girdle towards the breasts, .14but his head and the hairs (were) white as white wool, as snow, and his eyes as a flame of fire, .15and his feet like shining-copper as in a furnace having been set-on-fire², and his sound as a sound of many waters, .16and having in his right hand seven stars, and journeying-out from his mouth a sharp two-edged sword, and the sight of him as the sun shines-light in its ability.

.17And when I saw him I fell towards his feet as a dead-person, and he put his right (hand) on me saying, "You must not be fearful; I am the first and the last; .18and the (one) living, even I became dead and look!, I am living into the ages of the ages; and I have the keys of the death and the gravedom.

.19Therefore you must write which-things you saw, even which they are and which are about to come-to-pass after these-things. .20The mystery of the seven stars which you saw on my right (hand) and the seven lamp-stands, the golden (lamp-stands) - the seven stars are angels of the seven churches, and the lamp-stands, the seven (lamp-stands) are seven churches."

    Chapter 2

"2:1To the angel of the church in Ephesus you must write: ‘The (one) strongly-holding the seven stars in his right (hand) says the-things-here, the (one) walking in (the) midst of the seven lamp-stands, the golden (lamp-stands) - .2I knew² your works and labor and your patient-endurance, and that you are not able to lift-up bad-people, and you made-trial-of the (people) saying themselves (to be) apostles and they are not, and you found them (to be) liars; .3and you have patient-endurance and you lifted-up because-of my name and you did not labor².

.4But I have against you that you left your love¹, the first (love). .5Therefore you must remember from-where you fell² and you must repent and you must do the first works - but if not - I come to you, and I will move your lamp-stand from its place except you may repent. .6But this you have that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans which I also hate.

.7The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches. To the (person) being-victorious I will give to him to eat from the tree of the life which is in the Paradise of God.’

.8And to the angel of the church in Smyrna you must write: ‘The first and the last says the-things-here, who became dead and lived - .9I knew² your pressure and poverty, but you are wealthy, and the blasphemy from the (people) saying themselves to be Judeans and they are not but the synagogue of satan.

.10You must fear nothing (regarding) which-things you are about to suffer - look!, the devil is about to throw (some) from you into prison in order that you may be tempted and you will have pressure ten days - you must become believing continuously-until death and I will give to you the crown of the life.

.11The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches. The (person) being-victorious may never be treated-unrighteously from the death, the second (death).’

.12And to the angel of the church in Pergamos you must write: ‘The (one) having the sword, the two-edged (sword), the sharp (sword), says the-things-here - .13I knew² where you dwell-down, where the throne of satan (is), and you strongly-hold my name, and you did not deny my belief even in the days (of) Antipas, my witness, my believer, who was killed with you where satan dwells-down.

.14But I have little-things against you because you have there (people) strongly-holding the teaching of Balaam who used-to teach Balak to throw an offense before the sons of Israel, to eat idol-sacrifices and to fornicate; .15thus likewise also you have (people) strongly-holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans.

.16Therefore you must repent - but if not - I come to you quickly, and I will war with them in the sword of my mouth. .17The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches. To the (person) being-victorious I will give to him of the manna, the (manna) having been hidden², and I will give to him a white stone and on the stone a new name having been written² which not-one-person knew² except the (person) receiving (it).’

.18And to the angel of the church in Thyatira you must write: ‘The son of God, the (son) having his eyes as a flame of fire and his feet like shining-copper, says the-things-here - .19I knew² your works and the love¹ and the belief and the ministry and your patient-endurance - even your works, the last (works are) more-than the first (works).

.20But I have against you that you leave the woman Jezabel, the (woman) saying herself (to be) a prophetess, and she teaches and she causes my slaves to-wander, to fornicate, and to eat idol-sacrifices - .21and I gave to her time in order that she may repent and she does not intend to repent from her fornication.

.22Look!, I throw her into bed and the (people) committing-adultery with her into great pressure except they may repent from her works, .23and I will kill her children in death. And all the churches will know that I am the (one) searching kidneys and hearts and I will give to you each according to your works.

.24But I say to you, the remaining-people, the (people) in Thyatira - as-many-as do not have this teaching, the-people-who did not know the deep-things of satan as they say - I do not throw on you another pressured-weight .25besides that-which you have you must strongly-hold continuously-until where ever I may have-come.

.26And the (person) being-victorious and the (person) keeping my works continuously-until (the) completion, I will give to him authority on the nations - .27and he will shepherd them in an iron rod as the vessels, the pottery (vessels) are crushed - .28as also I received² from my Father; and I will give to him the star, the early (star).

.29The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches.’"

    Chapter 3

"3:1To the angel of the church in Sardis you must write: ‘The (one) having the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, says the-things-here - I knew² your works, that you have a name that you live and you are dead. .2You must become wakefully-watching and you must set-fast the remaining-things which used-to be about to die, for I did not find² your works having been filled² before my God.

.3Therefore you must remember how you received² and heard, and you must keep and you must repent. Therefore if-ever you may not wakefully-watch I will have-come as a thief and you may never know what-kind-of hour I will have-come on you.

.4But you have little names in Sardis which did not soil their outer-garments and they will walk with me in white (outer-garments) because they are worthy. .5The (person) being-victorious thus will clothe-himself in white outer-garments, and I will never wipe-out his name from the book of the life, and I will express-agreement (regarding) his name before my Father and before His angels.

.6The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches.’

.7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia you must write: ‘The holy-one, the true-one, the (one) having the key of David, the (one) opening and not-one will shut, and shutting and not-one opens, says the-things-here - .8I knew² your works - look!, I gave² before you a door having been opened² which not-one-person is able to shut it – that you have small ability, and you kept my word, and you did not deny my name.

.9Look!, I may give (some) from the synagogue of satan, the (people) saying themselves to be Judeans and they are not but they lie - look!, I will make them in order that they will have-come and they will worship before your feet and they may know that I loved¹ you, .10that you kept my word of the patient-endurance; and I will keep you from the hour of the temptation, the (hour) being about to come on the whole inhabited-area to tempt the (people) dwelling-down on the earth.

.11I come quickly. You must strongly-hold that-which you have in order that not-one-person may receive your crown. .12The (person) being-victorious - I will make him a pillar in the interior-temple of my God, and he may never yet go-out outside, and I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, the (one) descending from heaven from my God, and my name, the new (name).

.13The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches.’

.14And to the angel of the church in Laodicea you must write: ‘The certain-one, the witness, the believer, and true-one, the beginning of the creation of God, says the-things-here - .15I knew² your works, that you are neither cold nor hot - I wish you used-to-be cold or hot!, .16thus, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am about to spew you from my mouth; .17that you say that ‘I am wealthy and I was wealthy² and I have not-one need’ - and you did not know² that you are the (one who is) distressed and more-to-be-shown-mercy and poor and blind and naked –

.18I give-counsel to you to buy from me gold having been set-on-fire² from fire in order that you may be wealthy, and white outer-garments in order that you may clothe-yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be manifested, and a salve to anoint your eyes in order that you may observe. .19I - as-many-as if-ever I may love - refute and train; therefore you must be zealous and you must repent.

.20Look!, I stood² on the door and I knock - if-ever someone may hear my sound and he may open the door, I will go-into (his house) towards him and I will eat-a-meal with him and he with me. .21The (person) being-victorious - I will give to him to sit-down with me in my throne, as I also was-victorious and I sat-down with my Father in His throne.

.22The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches.’"

    Chapter 4

⁴:¹After these-things I saw, and look!, a door having been opened² in the heaven and the sound, the first (sound) which I heard as of a trumpet uttering-forth with me, saying, You must ascend here and I will point-out to you which-things are necessary to come-to-pass after these-things.

    .2Immediately I became in spirit, and look!, a throne used-to-lie in the heaven, and (One) sitting-down on the throne, .3even the (One) sitting-down like a sight - a jasper and sardian stone; and a circle-of-light from-around the throne like a sight – emerald; .4and from-around the throne twenty four thrones, and on the thrones twenty four elders sitting-down having been clothed² in white outer-garments and on their heads golden crowns;

.5and from the throne journeys-out lightnings and sounds and thunders; and seven torches of fire burning before the throne which are the seven spirits of God; .6and before the throne as a glassy sea like crystal; and in (the) midst of the throne and circling-round the throne four living-beings being-full of eyes in-front and from-behind –

    .7and the living-being, the first (living-being) like a lion, and the second living-being like a calf, and the third living-being having the face as a man, and the fourth living-being like a flying eagle; .8and the four living-beings, uniquely one of them having by-six wings, from-around and from-inside are-full of eyes, and they do not have a resting-up of day and night saying, "Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God, the All-Strong-One, the (One Who) used-to-be and the (One) being and the (One) coming";

.9and whenever the living-beings will give glory and honor and thankfulness to the (One) sitting-down on the throne, the (One) living into the ages of the ages, .10the twenty four elders will fall before the (One) sitting-down on the throne and they will worship the (One) living into the ages or the ages, and they will throw their crowns before the throne saying, .11You are worthy, our Lord and God, to take the glory and the honor and the ability, because You created all-things, even because-of Your intention they used-to-be and they were created.

    Chapter 5

⁵:¹And I saw on the right (hand) of the (One) sitting-down on the throne a book having been written² from-inside and from-behind having been sealed-down² with seven seals. .2And I saw a strong angel heralding-forth in a great sound, "Who (is) worthy to open the book and to loosen its seals?" .3And not-one used-to-be-able in the heaven nor on the earth nor down-under the earth to open the book nor to observe it. .4And I used-to-cry much because not-one worthy was found to open the book nor to observe it.

.5And one from the elders says to me, "You must not cry; look!, the lion, the (lion) from the tribe of Judah, the root of David, was-victorious to open the book and its seven seals." .6And I saw - in (the) midst of the throne and the four living-beings and in (the) midst of the elders - a little-lamb having stood², as having been slaughtered², having seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God having been apostled² into all the earth; .7and he came and took² (the book) from the right (hand) of the (One) sitting-down on the throne.

.8And when he took the book the four living-beings and the twenty four elders fell before the little-lamb having each a lyre and golden bowls being-full of incenses which are the prayers of the holy-people, .9and they sing a new song saying, "You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals because you were slaughtered and you bought for God in your blood (people) from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, .10and you made them a kingdom and priests for our God and they will reign-as-kings on the earth."

.11And I saw and heard a sound of many angels circling-round the throne and the living-beings and the elders, and the number of them used-to-be ten-thousands of ten-thousands and thousands of thousands, .12saying with a great sound, "The little-lamb, the (little-lamb) having been slaughtered², is worthy to take the ability and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing."

.13And I heard every creature, which (is) in the heaven and on the earth and down-under the earth and on the sea, and all-things in them saying, "To the (One) sitting-down on the throne and to the little-lamb (are) the blessing and the honor and the glory and the strongness into the ages of the ages; .14and the four living-beings used-to-say, With-certainty"; and the elders fell and worshipped.

    Chapter 6

⁶:¹And I saw when the little-lamb opened one from the seven seals, and I heard one from the four living-beings saying as a sound of thunder, You must go.

.2And I saw, and look!, a white horse and the (one) sitting-down on it having a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went-out being-victorious and in order that he may be-victorious. .3And when he opened the seal, the second (seal), I heard the second living-being saying, You must go.

.4And another horse went-out - fiery-red, and to take the peace from the earth was given to him, to the (one) sitting-down on it, and in order that they will slaughter one-another, and a great sword was given to him. .5And when he opened the seal, the third (seal), I heard the third living-being saying, You must go.

And I saw, and look!, a black horse and the (one) sitting-down on it having a balance in his hand. .6And I heard as a sound in (the) midst of the four living-beings saying, A measure of wheat - a denarius; and three measures of barley - a denarius; and let you not treat-unrighteously the olive-oil and the wine.

.7And when he opened the seal, the fourth (seal), I heard a sound of the fourth living-being saying, You must go. .8And I saw, and look!, a green horse and the (one) sitting-down upon it named Death, and gravedom used-to-follow with him, and authority was given to them on the fourth of the earth to kill in sword and in famine and in death and by the wild-animals of the earth.

.9And when he opened the fifth seal I saw down-under the sacrificial-altar the souls of the (people) having been slaughtered² because-of the word of God and because-of the witness which they used-to-have. .10And they shouted with a great sound saying, "Until when, Master, the Holy and True (Master), do You not judge and avenge our blood from the (people) dwelling-down on the earth?"

.11And a white robe was given to them, each-one, and it was said to them in order that they will rest-themselves-up yet a small time until also their slaves-together and their brothers, the (people) being about to be killed as also they, may be fulfilled.

.12And I saw when he opened the seal, the sixth (seal), and there became a great quake, and the sun became black as hairy sackcloth, and the whole moon became as blood, .13and the stars of the heaven fell into the earth as a fig-tree being caused-to-quake by a great wind throws her unripe-figs,

.14and the heaven was separated as a book being rolled-up, and every mountain and island was moved from their places, .15and the kings of the earth and the great-people and the tribunes and the wealthy-people and the strong-people and every slave and freeman hid themselves into the caves and into the rocks of the mountains,

.16and they say to the mountains and the rocks, "You must fall on us and hide us from (the) face of the (One) sitting-down on the throne and from the wrath of the little-lamb - .17because the day, the great (day) of their wrath came, and who is able to be caused-to-stand?"

    Chapter 7

⁷:¹After this I saw four angels having stood² on the four corners of the earth, strongly-holding the four winds of the earth in order that a wind may not blow on the earth neither on the sea nor on every tree. .2And I saw another angel ascending from (the) rising sun having (the) seal of (the) living God, and he shouted with a great sound to the four angels to whom it was given to them to treat-unrighteously the earth and the sea, .3saying, You must not treat-unrighteously the earth neither the sea nor the trees continuously-until we may seal the slaves of our God on their foreheads.

.4And I heard the number of the (slaves) having been sealed² - hundred forty four thousands having been sealed² from every tribe of (the) sons of Israel: .5from (the) tribe of Judah - twelve thousands having been sealed², from (the) tribe of Reuben - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Gad - twelve thousands, .6from (the) tribe of Asher - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Naphtali - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Manasseh - twelve thousands, .7from (the) tribe of Simeon - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Levi - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Issachar - twelve thousands, .8from (the) tribe of Zebulon - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Joseph - twelve thousands, from (the) tribe of Benjamin - twelve thousands having been sealed².

.9After these-things I saw, and look!, a big crowd - which not-one-person used-to-be-able to number it - from every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues having stood² before the throne and before the little-lamb, having been clothed² (with) white robes and palms in their hands, .10and they shout with a great sound saying, "The salvation (is) with our God, the (One) sitting-down on the throne, and with the little-lamb."

.11And all the angels had stood circling-round the throne and the elders and the four living-beings, and they fell before the throne on their faces and worshipped God .12saying, "With-certainty, the blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thankfulness and the honor and the ability and the strength (are) to our God into the ages of the ages, with-certainty."

    .13And one from the elders answered saying to me, "Those-people having been clothed² (with) robes, the white (robes), who are they and from-where did they come? .14And I said² to him, My Lord, you knew². And he said to me, Those-people are the (people) coming from the pressure, the great (pressure), and they washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the little-lamb;

.15because-of-this they are before the throne of God and they render-service to Him day and night in His interior-temple, and
