About this ebook

On a dare, Kylie Matthews lands smack in the middle of Solomon's Gate—Castle Creek's new Christian dating agency—and she finds herself revealing exactly what she's waiting for in a relationship: "The kiss that steals my breath away." What she doesn't reveal is her lack of self-esteem or her irrational reaction to facial disfigurement. Neither is applicable to her quest to find the perfect match. But that seemingly superficial malady becomes all-important when her first agency-arranged date is Rick Dale—a man who is everything Kylie is searching for. He's handsome, smart, fun. Rick has it all... including an angelic six-year-old daughter with severe scarring on one side of her face. Hard at work founding a therapy camp for young female victims of deformity or disfigurement, Rick wants Kylie to be a part of those plans. She'd love to say yes... but how can she, when every contact with the facility's guests—and Rick's own daughter—will make her violently ill? Kylie is ready to admit their relationship doesn't stand a chance, but she's forgotten that God makes a way where there seems no way.

This is book two in the Solomon's Gate series and although you could read it as a stand alone story, I highly recommend you begin with "Destiny's Dream" to set the background for this story (plus I personally liked book one a tiny bit better!).Kylie Matthews finds herself stepping into the Christian dating service building called "Solomon's Gate" in response to a dare. Kylie has issues growing up in a home where both mother and sister lived their lives as if looks and appearance were all that mattered in life. Kylie therefore does not think she is pretty or worthy of someone paying her any attention. So when she literally "bumps into" Rick Dale she isn't prepared for the relationship that will follow. But can Kylie accept and love Rick's little surprise (which I don't want to give away). This was another delightful story by Delia Latham. She blends humor with romance and tragedy with hope. I enjoy her take on guardian angels, although I am not sold on our ability to see them at times (although it is nice to be reminded they are out there). You are joined by people from book one and it is always good to meet "old friends". I look forward to more stories by this author! (Note to author: great job in delivering Kylie's wish near the end; a kiss that is worthy to be mentioned!)

Kylie Matthews has felt inferior her whole life. With her beauty queen mom and her beautiful actress sister always pointing out her flaws it was hard not to feel that way. On a dare she makes an appointment with Solomon's Gate. On the way there she has a fender bender with an exceptionally handsome guy named Rick Dale. Destiny (owner of Solomon's Gate) has a feeling that Rick and Kylie should meet. (not realizing they already had). When they finally do have their 'agency' date they have a wonderful time. Rick is everything Kylie could ever want in a man and Rick is very drawn to Kylie. He wants Kylie to help him with his Ranch where women who have facial disfigurements can go for therapy. But Kylie has a bad reaction when she sees any kind of facial disfigurement. How will she ever be able to help Rick with her phobia and then there is Rick's sweet daughter who has scaring on her face from being in a fire. Kylie just knows that a relationship with Rick is impossible or will she learn that with God all things are possible?I thoroughly enjoyed Kylie's Kiss, the second installment of the Solomon's Gate Series. I really liked getting to know our lead couple and loved that we got to see Destiny, Clay, Julie and CJ again as well. This story had a such a nice flow to it and was very romantic. There was a history of conflict between Kylie and her sister, Shay, but when Shay returned home I appreciated the way she handled Kylie and stood up for her. Rick was a great hero! The way he was not only with Kylie but also his sweet daughter just made my heart beat a little faster. I really felt for Kylie. She was such a sweet woman but had such a poor self image. It really makes you realize how powerful our words can be and how careful we should be with the things we say. Some parts of the story were very touching and some gave me a good chuckle. Like the name of the doctor that treats Kylie after her accident. You'll have to read the story to find out what it is! You could read this as a stand alone but reading the first book really brings it together nicely. If you've already read Destiny's Dream then you will definitely want to read Kylie's Kiss. It's my favorite of the two. Looking forward to Gypsy's Game. A thank you goes to the author for providing me with this complimentary copy for my review.
