About this ebook

The following treatise may be regarded as a series of Discourses on John xvii. 24. The subject is the Glory of Christ, as the representative of God to the church, -- in the mystery of his Person, -- in his office as Mediator, -- in his exaltation on high, -- in his relation to the church during every age of its history, -- and in the final consummation of his work, when all things are to be gathered into a blessed unity, as the result of his mediation.

This book is not for the "faint of heart". Meaning, it is not light reading that can be accomplished with your mind half engaged. The writing style requires engagement and, maybe, reading a sentence a few times to get a handle on what he is saying. However, it is well worth the effort. Reading books like this is like a "spring cleaning" for your mind. Cleaning out all the fluff and garbage thrown at us daily, both inside and outside of the church. The point is JESUS CHRIST ALONE IS WORTHY OF OUR FOCUS.
