About this ebook
In a world where supernatural creatures openly exist, who can blame them for coalescing in one of the most fascinating and erotic places on earth? Welcome to New Orleans.
A sex demon no longer interested in feeding just for the necessity of it.
Laurant is secure enough in his demonhood to admit to the few flaws he has, such as mouthing off to the wrong people and ignoring warnings from his dear old dad...but he isn’t quite ready to fess-up to his latest self-revelation. He doesn’t want to feed from any other person or supernatural but the mystery man who is no longer a mystery. Unfortunately, it seems there are other people who want Gun for themselves, and Laurant might not be strong enough to keep him.
They say you can never go home...what they didn’t mention was that trying might be the death of you...
Gun finally knows who and what he is...now he needs to find out why. He’s been commuting between New Orleans and his hometown in Maine for the past couple of months in search of answers, and all he’s found out is that half the population is afraid of him and the other half wants him dead. He longs for the simpler times in life when all he had to worry about was beating off an incubus’s advances and who had the king of hearts to complete his flush. Now he’s fighting against human police and supernatural creatures alike...and the winner takes all.
Gun needs to come to terms with who he was to figure out who he is. Laurant needs to decide if he will stand beside whichever Gun prevails.
May the real Gun please stand up.

I annoy, love, respect, scare, seduce, hurt, anger, infatuate, frustrate, flatter, envy, amuse and tolerate everyone. I just do it better in writing thanks to a little thing called...edits. Okay no, seriously...I'm a simple minded person who enjoys the escape from real life through a book. I write with the group Story Orgy and hope to continue doing so for a long time. I also am privileged to be with the Pulp Friction writers creating intermingling books in a world all our own. And just like every other red blooded human – I love hearing from people. So feel free to drop me a line – whether it's a comment on my blog, an email, a tweet or you track me down on FaceBook or Google + ... it's easy to catch someone who wants to be caught.

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, locations, incidents and positions are completely and absolutely a part of the author's skewed imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons—or incubus—living or deceased, businesses, events or locales are entirely coincidental and maybe a little bit freaky, perhaps sexy if you really are an incubus. Or an incubus lover…

Under the Gun
Chapter One
A witch, a cheetah, and a vamp walk into a bar,
Laurant murmured in Gun’s ear while resting his arm on the booth behind them.
Is there a punch line?
Gun questioned.
Laurant sighed. I’ll tell you in a couple minutes.
He bobbed his head toward their right.
Gun casually glanced in the direction of the entrance, and sure enough, a man and two women were staring them down, moving toward their table with purpose. They didn’t bother weaving in and out of the crowd—they plowed forward, and the patrons, chairs, and an occasional table moved for them. Gun released the tight hold on his shields that Laurant and Nico schooled him on and sent out feelers. Power smacked back at him.
They aren’t going for subtle, are they?
he observed.
They obviously don’t feel the need for subtlety.
Laurant flicked his tongue over the rim of his Salty Dog before taking a sip. "Now the question is, are they after you or me? I’m betting you, since we are in your old stomping ground right at the moment."
The incubus had a point. They were back in Maine again, just for the morning this time since they had a funeral to get to later in the day. Laurant stated on their first trip to New England that he hadn’t been to the area since his youth, which equated to over three hundred years ago.
Technically, Gun didn’t have to keep coming back. He’d spoken to the cops his first half dozen trips to Maine. Fortunately, they didn’t have anything concrete to hold him on, only circumstantial evidence not strong enough for the DA to even take interest in him.
Plus, with the sudden disappearance of Dahlia, the cops had more leads than they could follow. It helped that every time they called Gun, he showed up immediately—no exaggeration, considering Laurant misted him there within seconds of the calls. It eased some of the suspicion they harbored toward him.
Well, that and the fact he allowed their telepath to read him. Allowed being the operative word. Evidently, Gun’s shields were so strong that the telepath couldn’t get a reading on him unless he lowered them partially, which he willingly did. The desire to know the truth outweighed any reservations he had concerning this inadmissible act. Laurant focused on what they had to do to keep him innocent in the eyes of the law, but Gun much preferred to know what actually happened that night in February. Whatever occurred was important enough for Dahlia to wipe away his memory.
