About this ebook

Do you want exotic hair without paying an exotic price?

Possessing healthy hair that is full of body and shine is easy to achieve…if you just know how.

Every woman wants hair that is equivalent to a super model’s - shiny, smooth, voluminous, and, of course, manageable.       We see these super models selling a variety of shampoos, conditioners,

and hair treatments while flaunting their beautiful hair in magazines and on television ads.

But did you know that using these products can actually do more harm than good? Commercial shampoos contain a variety of chemicals and unnecessary additives and preservatives that cause damage, not only to your hair, but also to your entire body. One of the most commonly used ingredients is Triethanolamine, which is responsible for cancer and hormonal imbalances. This harsh ingredient also causes sensitive scalps, skin sensitivities, and long-term use can create dry and lifeless hair – which is the actual opposite effect that the advertisements claim. So you buy the shampoo in the hopes that it will improve your hair, and it does – for a few months. But then you notice that your hair starts to become dull and limp…so you buy more shampoo. And so the cycle continues.

By making your own homemade shampoos and hair treatments you can achieve beautiful hair without abusing it with an overabundance of synthetic chemicals and toxins. Plus, homemade shampoo is relatively inexpensive when considering how many bottles of commercial shampoo you use up each year.

In fact, you can create your own magical shampoo and hair treatments just using common kitchen equipment. Even the ingredients themselves are usually stocked in kitchen pantries as well, such as Apple Cider Vinegar and Rosemary.

In this book, you will learn the following:

  • The History of Shampoos
  • Why commercial shampoos are actually bad for your hair
  • What cancer-causing ingredients are in your shampoo right now
  • How to read the label of your shampoo bottle
  • Which chemicals are actually good for your hair
  • Learn the benefits of creating your own herbal shampoo
  • Find out which common household tools to use to create your own herbal shampoos
  • Learn which natural ingredients - that are already in your pantry - you can use to create your own herbal shampoos
  •  Discover which herbs, oils, and flowers are best suited for your hair type and condition
  • Recipes for Herbal Shampoos, Hair Spritzes, Oil Treatments, Hairs Masks, Hair Rinses, and Herbal Dry Shampoos

Knowing which common kitchen utensils and ingredients, along with knowing the best herbs, oils, and flowers to use for your hair’s specific needs, can go a long way in helping you create delightful herbal shampoos and treatments at home.

Herbal Hair Remedies from Natures Pharmacy - Angelina Jacobs

Introduction

In today’s fast paced, chemically induced life, everyone wants to take a break from it all and visit the country. This is mostly because in the country, we can get back to our roots – to a time of life that was simpler and more wholesome.

We do not really and truly need all of these chemicals in our lives today. One small change you can make yourself is to create your own homemade herbal shampoos. Get back to nature – starting with the roots of your hair!

Having hair that is both strong and beautiful does not equate to using expensive or exotic-sounding hair treatments. Instead, you can use simple, homemade shampoo and conditioner to maintain a healthy head of hair. Homemade herbal shampoos are very easy to make at home and can do wonders in giving your hair plenty of bounce and shine too.

Everyone wants beautiful, shiny hair but most seem to think they have to spend hundreds of dollars at a salon on equally expensive products in order to achieve their desired result. However, this is just not true. Did you know that just by eating a well-balanced diet, drinking plenty of fresh water, and getting at least 8 hours of sleep per day will have a positive effect on both your hair and skin?

Another thing that you can do for your hair is to keep it clean and well-nourished at all times. Our hair is easily affected by humidity, air conditioning, and other air pollution on a daily basis.

In order to properly cleanse your hair you will need to understand that hair care products each have their own specific uses. Shampoo obviously cleans your hair first, but it also invigorates your scalp and removes any dead skin cells. It also loosens up any dirt and residual oils that may be inhabiting your hair.

Conditioners are used to add moisture to your hair – these moisturizers act as a protectant from heat, humidity, and split ends. A rinse is used to thoroughly clean your hair and will remove any prior build-up of other hair products.

History of Shampoo

Humankind has been driven by one simple goal throughout the ages: be attractive to the opposite sex.

Recorded history depicts Egyptian woman covering themselves with colored pigments, bathing in flower petal covered pools, and anointing their bodies in fragrant oils. These oils were made from olives, almonds, sesame, and safflowers and contained fragrances made from steeping wildflowers, herbs, and resins in water.

Romans, Greeks, and Turks took pride in the art of the bathhouse. Scented bath waters laced with salts, powders, and then adding boiled herbs and flowers to the water was discovered to linger on the skin long after leaving the bath.
