Manifest Your Ex - Betty Tate

Chapter 1: My Story

The Law Of Attraction: That magnetic force that draws things to us, and us to them. Taken in its simplest sense, that which you give will come back to you. It’s an energy exchange, fueled by seemingly unrelated although synchronic events, compiling and multiplying continuously, like an open-ended equation. The law states that everything that happens to you, whether positive or negative, has been attracted by you. Where this can become convoluted is when you convince yourself that what you are sending out is positive, even though it seems to have a negative effect. Identifying these events and seeing them for what they truly are, it is possible to shape them into the image of your hearts’ desire, providing of course that you know what it is that your heart desires.

When I first met PJ, it felt like all the air got sucked out of the room the instant he arrived. To say the man was beautiful was an understatement: he was a god. Tall and cool, with flowing long natural blonde hair, he had the face of an angel and a smile that could light up a city block. We were both singers, working with the same producer. As fate would have it, we had the occasion to sing together many times as we got to know each other. There was an intense attraction right from the start, although he was a few years younger than I was, and at the time (in my early twenties) dating a ‘teenager’ wasn’t all that attractive. Plus, he had a long-term girlfriend, so the whole thing just started and ended right there. It was a mutual crush, I guess you’d say. A friendship and attraction based on music, smiles and harmony. The best kind, because whenever we saw each other, we were doing what we loved to do. Years went by, and we fell out of touch. During that time of life, in ones twenties, a couple of years is like an eternity, and much came to pass before we had occasion to meet again. When that time came, we were both single. The sparks flew like a low rider with a bad muffler.

To me, our connection was easily underscored by the Laws of Attraction: it was chemistry, combined with motive and action. We were both at a time in our young lives where our ideals defined us. We were both, quite literally, fools for love.

What I remember most is that neither of us could stop smiling. I don’t think we took our eyes off of each other for about six months, but during that time we got deeply into each other’s psyche, and indelibly into each other’s hearts. We found we had far more in common than just music and being hot for each other, and were able to draw cosmic lines between events and people in our lives that absolutely, undeniably proved we were joined at the soul – from the crazy coincidence that my car’s license plate was actually his birthday (my license was 1BOY322, and his birthday was March 22nd) to the random fact that his uncle had been my family doctor, that particular connection made even stranger by the fact that when his uncle was my doctor, I not only lived in another city, but another country entirely! It was kismet. Those little signposts were taken as  complete and total proof positive that we were meant to be, and in the most divine sense! We were inseparable. There was not a moment that went by that we weren’t either with each other, or thinking about being with
